Support rollers - Stützrollen
Support rollers are a special design of cylindrical
roller bearings. They have a reinforced outer ring. In contrast to rolling
bearings support rollers are not incorporated into a casing but rather run
with their outer ring on a straight or curved guide rail.
The load-bearing quality depends not only on the rolling element but also on
the strength of the outer ring. This is taken into account in the material
choice and the heat treatment.
Besides the high strength a good seal against dirt entering from the outside
and loss of grease from inside the bearing is very important for durability.
METER produces support rollers with diameters of up to 500 mm. Cylindrical
roller bearings, angular ball bearings or four point bearing are the most
common designs.

Mast rollers - Hubmastrollen
Mast rollers are a special design of support rollers,
conceived specifically for use in fork lift trucks. Mast rollers support the
mast and the fork arm carriage on the fork lift truck.
They are highly loaded and transfer very large loads in radial and axial
directions at low speeds. They also absorb moment load via the outer ring.
High shock loads require a balanced concept with regard to the bearing
assembly and outer ring wall strength. Materials and heat treatment of the
rings are designed specifically for these requirements.
Besides the high strength a good seal against dirt entering from the outside
and loss of grease from inside the bearing is very important for durability.
METER manufactures mast rollers with diameters of up to 300 mm. Cylindrical
roller bearings, angular ball bearings or four point bearing are the most
common designs.

Chain rollers - Kettenrollen
Chain rollers are a special design of support rollers,
conceived specifically for use in fork lift trucks. Chain rollers redirect
the lifting chain on the fork lift truck and are usually mounted directly on
the lifting cylinder. They are highly loaded and transfer very large loads
in radial directions at low speeds.
High shock loads require a balanced concept with regard to the bearing
assembly and outer ring wall strength. Materials and heat treatment of the
rings are designed specifically for these requirements.

and loss of grease from inside the bearing is very important for durability.
METER manufactures chain rollers with a diameter of up to 300 mm.
Cylindrical roller bearings or angular ball bearings are the most common
designs.

Cylindrical roller bearings - Zylinderrollenlager
Cylindrical roller bearings are radial bearing that can
support high loads and have a solid inner and outer ring. The roller
bearings are cylindrical. Cylindrical roller bearings are very rigid and can
support high loads. The individual designs differ in their edge arrangement,
i.e. as fixed bearings, support bearings or floating bearings. Some designs
have cages that are suitable for high speeds and full roller designs that
are used for high radial loads and slow rotary movements.
METER manufactures cylindrical roller bearings with diameters of up to 1000
mm, either with or without cage. The following designs are available:
Cylindrical roller bearings with cage
NU – Floating bearings with 2 edges on outer ring
N – Floating bearings with 2 edges on inner ring
NJ – Support bearings with 2 edges on outer ring and one edge on inner ring
NUP - Fixed bearings with support disk on inner ring
NJ+HJ – Fixed bearings with support ring on inner ring
NN – as multiple row design with cage
Full roller cylindrical roller bearings
Full roller cylindrical roller bearings are available on demand in single
row or multi-row designs as floating, fixed or support bearings.

Planetary gear bearings - Planetenradlager
Planetary gear bearings are multi-row, high load
cylindrical roller bearings without an outer ring. They are special bearings
that are designed specifically for each application.
Planetary gear bearings support the planetary gear in the planetary gearbox.
Here the bearings transfer the high loads from the gearing geometry between
the sun gear and the ring gear. The corresponding planetary gears, which
also form the outer ring of the bearings, are usually produced by the
customer.
METER manufactures planetary gear bearings in with diameters or up to 500 mm
on demand, either with or without outer ring. Designs are possible with
inner ring for mounting on the shaft or with pivots. The bearings are packed
and delivered with the roller bearing assembly.

Rotary connections / Slewing rings - Drehverbindungen
Rotary connections are high load moment bearings with
mounting holes on the inner and outer ring. They are special bearings that
are designed specifically for high moment loads at low speeds.
Rotary connections serve to support swivel drives, round tables or drive
gears in a fork lift truck. Here the bearings transfer the high axial loads
and torque as a single bearing.
Rotary connections often only carry out swivel moments with small rotation
angles and speeds. The inner and outer ring are designed as a flange with
threads or drilled holes for mounting purposes.
Angular ball bearings, four point bearings or cross roller bearings are
possible designs.
METER manufactures rotary connections with diameters of up to 1000 mm,
either with or without gearing. Larger dimensions are possible on demand
through cooperation with partner businesses.

Special designs - Sonderbauformen
Anything is possible! Away from the well-beaten rolling
bearings track bearings solutions exist that you cannot yet imagine today
but which could be essential for your application in the future. Whether
because of high power density in small dimensions or special geometry that
fits your bearing location like a glove.
Problems with conventional bearing seals? Special dimensions that don’t
follow any norm? METER will stand by you for this kind of query. Our
engineers can support you with advice, calculations and designs for your
individual bearing location. Our flexible range of machinery can allow
economic solutions for even small quantities of bearings that differ from
the standard designs. And all this in diameters from 10 to 1000 mm.
