EASY-ROB Product Suite
EASY-ROB™ is available in several versions for different requirements.

All versions can be extended by adding libraries and options. Overview of the basic packages:

Multi Program Version
The EASY-ROB™ Multi Program Version provides the full range of functionality for layout planning of robot work cells including checks for reachability, collision and travel ranges and cycle time estimation. The number of robots or kinematics in the workcell is not limited. (Multi-Kin)

EASY-ROB™ Multi-Program enables to run and simulate several robots and kinematics synchronized.
The programs can "communicate" by IO-variables (Multi-Program).

EASY-ROB™ Multi-Program contains the following functions:

Multi Robot Version
The EASY-ROB™ Multi Robot Version provides the same full range of functionality like the EASY-ROB™ Multi Program Version.
The number of robots or kinematics in the workcell is not limited. (Multi-Kin)
One program can be loaded per workcell. The program will control all robots in the workcell and will let them move one after the other.

The option “EASY-ROB™ Multi-Program“ enables the user to load for every single kinematic or for every robot a separate program and run them all synchronized.
Single Robot Version
The EASY-ROB™ Single Robot Version provides the same full range of functionality like the EASY-ROB™ Multi Robot Version, but the number of robots* in the workcell is limited to one robot per workcell.

The option Multi-Kin extends the EASY-ROB™ Single Robot Version to the EASY-ROB™ Multi Robot Version.

The option “EASY-ROB™ Multi-Program“ enables the user to load for every single kinematic or for every robot a separate program and run them all synchronized.

*) a robot has got at least 4axis and is able to move to a cartesian target point (Tag). The number of kinematics like gripper, positioner and/or conveyer is unlimited in the workcell.
 
DLL Version
The purpose of the EASY-ROB™ DLL Version is to integrate the EASY-ROB™ in an own application and enables the user to “communicate” with EASY-ROB™ by 600 API-functions.

The EASY-ROB™ DLL will start as an OpenGL window without a title, a menu, toolbars and without status bar and can be placed by using Window-handles anywhere in application. Existing workcells, kinematics and tools can be loaded, connected and controlled by API.
All robotics functionality is available.
If a collision or a limit exceeding is detected while a simulation, EASY-ROB™ will report the events to the user application.

For the use of EASY-ROB™ DLL we recommend Microsoft® Visual Studio 2005 C++. (use of Borland C++ Builder with reservations)


We also offer the integration of the EASY-ROB™ DLL Version into your application as a service.
   
 
Robot Libraries
All common robots from well known brands like ABB, b+m, Comau, Denso, Fanuc, Guedel, Kawasaki, Kuka, Mitsubishi, Motoman, Reis, Stäubli, Tricept are available in EASY-ROB’s™ Robot Libraries.
Additional robots, machines, tools and handling systems can easily and quickly be reconstructed virtually inside the EASY-ROB™ application.

All models containing information on axes, axes speeds, axes acceleration, offsets and rotational directions according to the manufacturers technical specifications.

In order to achieve realistic simulation results the attributes can be modified to fit the circumstances and requirements. Edits made during the simulation can be saved as new robot models.

Missing robots can be modelled by the operator with EASY-ROB™ or we can create them for you upon request. For your special kinematic needs we offer our service.

FAMOS robotic® - Offline Programming
FAMOS robotic is a streamlined offline programming system. The software package FAMOS robotic® V7 enables the efficient and simple programming of industrial robots of many brands.

Programming
With FAMOS robotic® the programs are created related to the CAD model. There is a mathematic relation between the CAD Data and the robot path.

FAMOS robotic® expects a certain connection between the robots path and the CAD components, i.e. that the robot path is running along an edge of a shape or directly on the surface of the shape. Depending on the selection mode FAMOS robotic® is suggesting the right path. You only have to confirm and the path is taken.

CAD Data
FAMOS robotic® can process files of common CAD-Systems on the market. The standard exchange file formats STEP(AP203 and AP214), VDAFS und IGES as well as the ACIS SAT and Parasolid XT files formats are supported. ProENGINEER® and Wildfire® files can be used natively and without loss.

FAMOS robotic® can import CAD data from all established CAD-systems. Standard interfaces like STEP (AP203 and AP214), VDA-FS and IGES are supported as well as ACIS SAT and PARASOLID XT. ProEngineer® and Wildfire® data can be processed native.
Optional available are filters to import CATIA® V4 and V5 data and UNIGRAPHICS®.

In former times usually all robot programs were programmed related to a fixture. That means that the program can be started earliest with the first fixture. With FAMOS robotic® you can start creating the robot program during the construction of the fixture, and you might instruct the manufacturer of the fixture to build it to avoid disadvantages later. After the fixture has arrived the program can be implemented and tested immediately.

Postprocessors
Post processor for ABB, b+m, Fanuc, KUKA, STÄUBLI und MOTOMAN are available. Other post processors can be implemented on request. A plug-In interface allows the user develop and implement the own post processor.
Within one project the user can use any number of robots.

Simulation
FAMOS robotic® enables you to test your planned process under real conditions. The Simulation test will be done by the integrated EASY-ROB™ Simulation Kernel.
Using the real CAD data of the product, the tool and the robot you can check the feasibility of your project before any money is spent for the equipment.
If needed, changes of the product and the fixture can be forwarded to the design resources in order to achieve the feasibility.

System requirements
FAMOS robotic® requires a standard Windows® PC/Notebook with Microsoft Windows® . Graphic accelerator boards including OpenGL 1.5 capabilities will enhance the performance significantly.
We recommend graphics boards with nVIDIA GeForce Graphics chip with at least 128 MB RAM.
