TECMES MB-BR base machine bench
is made from an
electro welded frame, and many different models can be produced to satisfy
customers specific requirements. The bench comes in the BN version for
electrical switchboards to be fitted on the outside of the machine, or in
the BT version with cabinets to hold electrical, electronic and pneumatic
equipment. The cabinets are fitted with a removable panel to fasten the
electrical equipment, holes for ISO 25 cable clamps for the connecting
cables and seals for the covers.
The surface of the steel machine bench plate is treated with chemical nickel
plating.
The two bench tops are ground to a flatness tolerance of 0.5mm/m2. On
request, holes or machining for fixing purposes can be made in line with the
customer's specifications.
The AUTOROTOR Series 5 rotary table provides the
tooling plate rotation:
this is a mechanically driven unit with square axis and barrel cam in oil
bath. The number of stations can be: 8-10-12-15-16-18-20-24-28-30-32-36. The aluminium alloy tooling plate comes complete with holes to fix the piece
holders according to the customer's specifications. The torque limiter
mounted on the rotary table camshaft protects the transmission and the
mechanical organs of the table in the event of collision while the tooling
plate is turning. The limiter is fitted with a microswitch that gives the
electrical release signal and a phase roller so that the rephasing takes
place in just one position, thus respecting the perfect synchronism of the
machine.
Table transmission is accomplished with a pre-stretched and pre-run chain,
complete with a manually adjustable chain tensioner. The encoder transmitting
impulses to the angular positioner replaces the previous mechanical cam
programmer and generates a phase signal to control pneumatic devices such as
grippers, pacers and external units. The oscillator designed to drive main
shaft oscillations and subsequent radial sled movement is a mechanical
AUTOROTOR Series 5 unit with square axes and barrel cam in oil bath. The
control unit for the main shaft vertical stroke, which transmits vertical
movement to the arm-holder turret, can have
either an eccentric cam or a parallel axes oscillator. In the
eccentric cam
version, speeds of up to 6000 cycles/hour can be achieved with a maximum
vertical working stroke of 50mm.
In the
oscillator version, the vertical stroke reaches 80mm although the
speed is limited to 1000-3000 cycles/hour depending on the stroke.
Reduced backlash worm screw type reducers drive the machine transmission.
The cylindrical screw is made of casehardened and tempered steel
with a ground and precision-finished involute profile, while the crown gear
is made of phosphorous bronze with long-life lubrication. The synchronized
command of the reducers is achieved with a toothed belt complete with
manually adjustable belt tensioner.
Thanks to the inverter (optional) built into the three phase brake motor,
machine speed can be adjusted and the machine can be started and stopped
with programmable acceleration and deceleration ramps. The machine
central
turret consists of a fixed part and a movable part guided on 4 bushings with
high-speed type ball cages. The movable part has two circular slots to fix
the radial arms, the probes and the units that require vertical movement.
Another circular slot on the fixed part of the turret is for photocells
supports or small pneumatic units. The oscillating disk to control the
radial stroke of the sleds that slide on the arms is fitted with dovetail
radial slots to fix the sled driving rods. By varying the working radius of
the driving rods you can adjust the sled stroke. By adjusting the driving
rod you can adjust the sled stroke control and the working position of the
sleds.
The machine is fitted (on request) with a control unit to check that
components have been loaded correctly. The control unit consists of a rod
that slides inside an aluminium sensor-holder body to probe components. To
move components, the machine is fitted with radial arms consisting of an
aluminium casting on which a sled is guided by a sliding shoe. Rails 240 -
325 - 420mm long are fixed to the arms and one or two sleds can be mounted
on them as shown in the examples in this catalogue.
Two columns that can be
adjusted vertically by means of dead stop collars enable the grippers to be
fixed to the sleds. These columns are fitted with springs for the vertical
elastic compensation of the gripper, preventing the grippers themselves, or
other machine organs, from breaking if defective components should be
assembled (burrs, deformed pieces, incorrect tolerances, etc.).
