 Product Abstract
IPR Robot 7th Axis
The new robot 7th-axis consists of a modular high-strength extruded aluminium section. It is possible to equip the axis with an optional cover which makes it walkable and dirt-proof.

The length of the basic module is 2m which means a travel of 1 m.

By adding extra modules the axis can be extended in steps of 100mm up to a total length of 11m. This is the maximum standard length. Travel length of more than 11m are available on request.

Functional Modules
Functional modules are compensation elements which are built modularly to enable movement in different directions. Complex assembly problems can be overcome relatively easily by combining function modules. False positioning can be compensated by degrees of freedom which can be applied (i.e. switched on and off) as required.
Tool Changer
  • For fast and problem-free changing from tools and grippers at robots or gantries up to a payload of 1000 kg
  • Transmission of electrical signals by spring fitted contact pins
  • Coupling and uncoupling of pneumatic and hydraulic lines
  • User specific tool changer: for spot welding guns, for board grippers
Load Limiter
  • Protects the robot from overload caused by collisions
  • A switch signals the robot to stop if an overloading occurs
  • Easy and precise manual resetting into the starting position
  • The overload threshold value can be variable adjusted pneumatically in a wide range
  • High repeatability
Compliance Wrist
  • Prevents edging and jamming of parts
  • Protects robots and assembly structures from excessive wear through minimizing the insertion forces
  • Time reduction of operating cycles
  • Economic solution
Lateral Alignment Device
  • Specifically designed for wide compensation movements
  • Tolerance compensation with position offset in x-y direction up to + / - 25 mm
  • Compensation takes place without force
  • Prevents wedging and jamming when inserting and removing workpieces
  • 6Protects robots and automatic assembly machines against wear
Z-Axis Compliance Device
  • Compensation for different vertical positions Collision recognition in Z-direction
  • Protection of parts and work pieces
  • Monitoring of the insertion forces during assembly operations
  • Monitoring of the picking forces when removing parts from clamping fixtures or trays
  • Fault recognition
Rotary Actuator
  • Extremely fine design
  • Adjustable up to 180 degrees max.
  • Payload up to 900 N
  • Stackable in order to obtain rotation devices with several degrees of freedom
