PCI-, PCI-X- and PCI Express frame grabbers
Frame grabbers, or image acquisition cards, are plug-in boards for PCs. Their primary task is camera image data acquisition and transfer to PC memory. SVS-Vistek differentiates between boards with either analog or digital inputs. Analog boards with up to 16 inputs are of interest to surveillance systems. SVS-Vistek also offers solutions for signals beyond common analog standards.
For machine vision systems, the AIA Cameralink standard for digital signals has prevailed. For highest data rates from a camera to the host memory this technology is used in all SVCam cameras with CameraLink interfaces.
