The base material for sintered parts such as sliding bearings are bronze, iron, iron with copper and other metal powders. This powder is formed under high pressure in dies, then sintered at temperatures which are just below the melting point. According to the working conditions, the bearings can be impregnated with different oils or solid lubricants to be self-lubricating.

Wrapped bearings are being supplied in various different types of materials. Such as: Bearings with Steel-, Bronze- or Stainless Steel backings coated with PTFE, POM, PEEK or PTFE fibers on the sliding surface and also solid Bronze bearings with lubrication pockets. The wrapped bearings are available in a variety of forms such as cylindrical wrapped bushes, flanged bushes, thrust washers, or as special parts manufactured to customer requirements.

MBW material is made of strong cast bronze based metal with special solid lubricants embedded. The base metal withstands high load and the solid lubricants provide self-lubrication. The bearing shows excellent performance without pre-lubricant under conditions of extreme high/low temperature with low speed. This kind of bearings can be applied under dry, high temperature, high pressure, corrosive, water or other chemical environments when no oil can be introduced.

Plastic bearings with lubricating additives are nearly maintenance-free. Thos bearings are the right choice for the use in the food, pharmaceutical or chemical industry. 

Composite fiber bearings consist of a filament-wound, with fiberglass impregnated epoxy backside and a low friction bearing surface layers. The composite structure enables the bearing to support high static and dynamic loads.

Choosing from a wide range of metal-powder-alloys the desired final quality of the product can be designed and achieved.
Complicated shapes and close tolerances can be achieved simply by compacting and sintering, without expensive machining.
