Herborn/Hanover, 09 August 2010 – Planners and plant constructors using Ri4Power low-voltage switchgear receive support at every stage from the "Power Engineering" application: from compiling a system solution, ordering it, and through to construction and assembly. For Version 5.0, Rittal has come up with many enhancements and new functions that make working with the software and plant construction even more effective.

Planners can now choose from three bus systems – RiLine60, Maxi-PLS und Flat-PLS – with different power ranges, and so create systems with up to 5,500 amperes. The previously separate units without (version 1) and with internal division (version 2-4) have now been combined. In addition to the switchgear from Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB, Mitsubishi and Terasaki already supported, the open power circuit-breakers will now also be available for devices from Moeller and Eaton.

In this latest version of the software, support for the user does not end with ordering from a list of parts. With the assembly plan created by the software, a complete overview of each enclosure can be created, with multiple views. The components and their article numbers are automatically displayed in the right place in the enclosure. The material ordered can thus be easily and accurately assigned to the field or the workplace as early as the work preparation stage. This way, each field can be quickly mounted, and mix-ups or incorrect installation can be avoided.
