Last year, Nachi-Fujikoshi released "X's-mill WAVY," a indexable insert carbide end mills which use Nachi-Fujikoshi's original coating on a 3D shaped cutting edge (wavy) insert which Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. developed.
New is today the "Wavy Mill DLC Insert" as indexable inserts for aluminum cutting where its effectiveness is particularly evident.

Product features

Carbide base material specifically for aluminum which has high abrasion resistant is coated with the newly developed "DLC coating" which has a very low abrasion, so there is no aluminum deposition resulting in long-term superior surface quality.
The insert's maximum 35-degree rake angle improves cutting performance, moreover its surface has a lapped finish, further enhancing the effect of the DLC coating.

Applications : Aluminum alloys, Aluminum alloy casting, Copper alloys
