Using
a True Spot double-bright coaxial laser sighting system
makes the Raytek portable critical temperature reading
systems a secure and accurate tool for use in hazardous environment.
Raytek
offers today a whole range of intrinsically safe
infra-red thermometers for non-contact temperature
measurement in dangerous, potentially explosive, or
flammable environments. With the handheld MX series
for fast mobile temperature monitoring applications on
machinery and plant, Raytek covers almost every
imaginable area of application in hazardous industrial
areas.
Where even
inflammable gases or vapors are involved, conventional
temperature measurement is always done at high explosion
risk. The Raytec intrinsically safe devices prevent
explosions in hazardous locations by limiting the
energy and surface temperature of the device under
normal operation and so comply with the German TÜV
and PTB norms making the use under conditions where
different gases or easily flammable vapors are
involved safe.

The
new MX series Raytec is a new and innovative
temperature measuring device combining fast and
high-resolution infrared thermometers with
state-of-the-art signal processing and sophisticated
options and performances. The MX series uses a
16-point circular laser sighting even at long distance
and is so one of the few devices available on the
market with long distance measurement capability. The
true spot laser sighting system providing precise infrared beam tracking, resulting in more accurate measurement for critical readings.
For
fixed and remote measurement, Raytec developed the TX series,
a fixed online infra-red sensors can be remote
programmed via a conventional HART/RS232 Interface
using windows based software. The sensor is able to transmit
accurate measures within a temperature range of -18°C
to 2000°C and makes the the graphical visualizing of
all stored data possible.
We
believe that the systems will be of high use for
petrochemical refineries and tank farms, chemical
plants, fire protection departments, the offshore
industry, aviation fuelling and security and any other
application fields requesting safe and distance
temperature measurements.
