The new linear ball bearings “KS“ INA-Schaeffler offer a high cost/benefit ratio and several technical advantages as a floating arrangement of the double lip seals, which ensure both a low, uniform displacement resistance and give reliable protection against contamination. Furthermore, the bearings include special integral lubricant reservoirs directly adjacent to the raceways, giving long and problem-free running with minimal maintenance requirements.

The segment construction of the linear ball bearings gives self-alignment of all four segments. The KS bearings can thus automatically compensate for misalignments of up to +/- 40 angular minutes, are simple to fit and adjust and give smooth motion with minimal wear.

The INA-Lineartechnik product range also includes various housings and shafts so that designers and users can obtain individual linear guidance solutions from a single, capable source. In addition to the metric standard designs, inch size variants are also available for the US, UK and other markets. Depending on requirements, the inch size linear ball bearings “KX” have up to two more rows of balls. The KX designs have the same characteristics as the standard series KS. With the “KS” and “KX” series of linear ball bearings, INA proves once again that even well established products such as linear ball bearings (also known as ball bushings) can be developed further to give improved benefits.
