Entering partnership with Niko

The strategic joint venture between Moeller Gebäudeautomation KG and Niko, the Belgian switch specialists, has been finalized.

Moeller will take over the sale of Niko's innovative range of switches in Germany and will thus take a further step towards "Xtra Combinations - with complete automation solutions for specific customized requirements".

The Moeller Groups focus on a customer-oriented strategy which has given the company a new position as a supplier of complete solutions. In future, Moeller will not only supply all the products required for the automation of buildings, but will also benefit the customer in providing the ideal combination of the services offered.

Home Automation : Comfort and Modernity

The strategic alliance signed last autumn with Niko, the Belgian switch specialists, has taken Moeller one more step on the way to providing "complete customized solutions for automation in building services applications". From now on, Moeller will be responsible for the sale of the entire range of Niko switches.

Under this successful brand name, Moeller will offer in Germany the attractively designed flat switches, the affordable Nikobus system, and also the comprehensive range of RF products that also make building automation attractive in the upgrade and home improvement business.

Niko: A powerful brand at Moeller

Niko, the Belgian suppliers, are market leaders in their own country. The simple and very effective bus system developed by Niko is primarily designed for automation solutions in private homes. A special range of RF products allows conventional electrical installations to be installed at a later time, without the need for major conversions, for greater convenience and power optimization. Another highlight of Niko is the data socket for effective broad-band communication within networks. The design of the flat switches in the modern metallised look can be combined well and is very attractive.

Installation without chasing !

According to surveys, although many consumers would like to increase comfort and safety etc., the chasing required for this (noise, dirty, painting, wallpapering...) still represents a major obstacle for them. The new Nikobus system combined with RF technology is not only ideally suited for controls in newly built homes, businesses, apartments, conservatories etc., but also allows the wide range of functions provided by the Nikobus RF system to be used in existing buildings without any additional chasing or building work, since the commands/signals required are transferred to the receiver units by radio link.

The individual devices do not require any wiring and can exchange the necessary data and control signals by radio. Their design allows them to be integrated completely in the Niko flush mounted product range that includes all possible functions from the flat switch to the data socket in three versions.

The new and complete Niko range will be introduced by Moeller Gebäudeautomation throughout Germany over 2002. The necessary information material will also be supplied.

Due to its simple installation and problem-free programming, the affordable Nikobus RF system and the corresponding units enable Moeller to offer a comprehensive product range that will also make building automation extremely attractive to customers in the "home improvement business" and also to electricians.
