Presents new geared motor

To respond to the global increase of demand toward smaller and compact drive units for logistic applications, SEW-Eurodrive developed a new lighweight and compact drive unit.

Logistic Applications : The tendency to smaller transportation units in the materials handling technology has been obvious for several years, resulting in an increased demand for small, compact drive units in the lower power range. It is important in this field of application that the drive is reliable, well-priced and especially lightweight and compact. These requirements are met by the helical gear unit R07 DT/DR... .

This new small geared motor has been introduced to the public during the Hanover Trade Fair 2002 .With its aluminum based concept and a total weight of only six kg, the geared motor R07DT56 is a will meet modern industry requirements.

Aluminum drives offer a lot of advantages compared to drives made of gray-cast iron: easier handling during startup and maintenance, weight reduction of the entire design and a lower load on the drive train.

The lightweight aluminum geared motor is particularly suited for driving small conveyor belts. It can also show its strength in other applications, e.g. rotary tables, actuators, hoist drives, dosing pumps, slewing-motion actuators or in small travel drives. The low weight is always an advantage, no matter if the drive travels with the trolley as a so-called travel drive or if it serves as a drive within a particularly light machine design. All shaft hub connections are of an interlocking design.
