Presents new IX Scara Robots

The new IX Series offers maximum performance, unparalleled ease-of-use, and affordable costs for applications such as part transfer, material handling, dispensing, and assembly.

Intelligent Actuator's IX Series SCARA (Selective Compliant Assembly Robot Arm) robots are offered in four models w/ Clean Room option: 
IX-250 (250mm reach) 
IX-350 (350mm reach) 
IX-500 (500mm reach) 
IX-600 (600mm reach) 

Additionally, larger units, inverted models, and CE and IP-65 units are scheduled for future release.

SCARA robots have joints in the horizontal plane, which allows the arm to swivel about its base and fold in on itself like a "folding screen." Its work envelope is cylindrical.

The SCARA robot includes I/O, pneumatic, and electrical connections conveniently positioned at the top of the unit for easy access. 

The vertical Z-axis is hollow and allows for convenient routing of electrical cables and pneumatic lines for end-effectors. 

Alarm LED lights are also located on the top face of the robot for clear indication of any problems. Additionally, a brake-release button is located here as well to facilitate manual teaching of points.

With a maximum horizontal reach of 600 mm and a maximum vertical reach of 300 mm, the IX Series features a maximum payload capability of 10 kg and a maximum speed of over 7000 mm per second. 
Additional features include: 

Maximum speed of 7121mm/sec 
Minimum cycle time less than 0.5 seconds* 
Maximum rated payload of 10 kg 
Full interpolated path motion capability
Minimum positioning repeatability of ±0.015 mm
Vertical axis with 200 or 300 mm stroke and 360° rotation

However, perhaps the single most important aspect of the IX-SCARA is its affordable price, with a complete system starting under $11,500 (IX-250 model).

*Based on a 1" upward move, 12" horizontal move, 1" down move and return using the IX-500-200.

The control package utilizes an enhanced version of Intelligent Actuator's SEL programming language that is intuitive and easy to use. The powerful SEL language was specifically designed for use by non-programmers. 

Even if you're not already familiar with the SEL language you'll program the SCARA with ease!

The X-SEL controller features built-in-commands to simplify traditionally tedious programming tasks related to palletizing, dispensing, and machine vision integration.
