Company Profile

Control Engineering is one of the twelve chairs of the Department of Electrical Engineering in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Science. Besides the PhD–students, every year about 15-20 MSc–students take part in the research of the group and obtain their MSc–degree. The research of Control Engineering is carried out in the Institutes IMPACT and CTIT. Control Engineering participates in the national research school DISC (Dutch Institute of Systems and Control). The research of the group is application oriented. Main goal is to investigate the applicability of modern systems and control methods to practical situations. The Control Engineering group works on the following projects: - intelligent control - modelling and simulation of physical systems - measurement and instrumentation Application, realisation and utilisation are realised in the projects: - advanced robotics and mechatronics - embedded control systems Where applicable, developed methods and knowledge are made available in the form of - software tools for modelling, simulation and control Interesting assignments for students are available on these topics.
