      • The ARM-based board camera series follow the proved and tested quality of Vision Components: Thanks to the engaged processors the small power packs provide for top performance. The VCSBC nano Z series Smart Cameras come with a Dual Core Cortex-A9 .

        Like all VC Smart Camera models sensors from well-known manufacturers are included.

        As an extra feature of VC Z series, the FPGA module, Xilinx's ZYNQ SoC, is FREELY PROGRAMMABLE and thus able to boost the system's performance ernormously. This service is especially addressed to our OEM customers and guarantees for maximizing the hardware performance.
          • VCSBC nano Z

          • Setting new standards with freely programmable FPGA
            The embedded systems of the Z board camera series are all equipped with the Zynq Dual Core Cortex-A9 ARM with 2 x 866 MHz and integrated FPGA. Furthermore, the provide a battery backed real-time clock and come with up to 12 inputs and outputs, with trigger input and flash trigger output, as well as a Gbit Ethernet interface. Different CMOS sensors with global shutter and a resolution up to 5 Megapixel are available. This sensor can be placed on board or on an external sensor board. With that, users have also a stereo vision option: all models are available with 2 external sensor boards.
            Thanks to their high-end performance and being easy to implement, these extremely small embedded systems are perfect to integrate. The Z board cameras are basis for more models of the series: The VC NANO Z AND VC PRO Z SMART CAMERAS.
          • VCSBC nano Z-RH

          • Flexible to integrate anywhere
            The models of this board camera series are equally equipped like the VCSBC nano Z series - and on top, they are even more flexible: The sensor was implemented not on the board, but with an external board connected with a ribbon cable of 30 mm, 80 mm or 200 mm length. Thus, the whole system is even smaller: The CPU board now only measures 40 x 50 mm, the aditional sensor board 18 x 24 mm.

            With its two sensor boards, the board camera models of the VCSBC nano Z-RH-2 series are optimally suited for STEREO VISION APPLICATIONS. The 2 sensor boards are connected with a flex cable extension, so they easily can be integrated also where space is at a premium, like robotics etc.
        • Housed cameras

        • All VC Z series models, that are available as board cameras, are also available with housings. According to their requirements, users can choose between three different options:
          • The standard nano housing of the VC nano Z series: A proven housing, that excels in light weight and small dimensions as well as easy to intgerate. The status LEDs are freely programmable and arrange for additional ease of use.
          • Standard housing with integrated lighting: The VC nano Z-LED series These models also feature the standard housing, but with an additional integrated ring light consisting of 6 LEDs. Different lighting options are available.
          • The special IP67 protective housing of VC pro Z series: Another well-proven housing, that additionally can be equipped with the correspondent lens and IR illumation after your demands.
            • Housed cameras VC nano Z

            • The VC nano Z Embedded Vision Systems come with the well-proven nano housing, and provide 6 I/Os as well as a trigger I/O. With their tiny size and field-tested connections they easily can be integrated into existing machines.
              All models are based on the board cameras of VCSBC NANO Z SERIES. Several different CMOS sensors of well-known manufacturers like Teledyne e2v and Sony, including Pregius sensors, with several resolutions can be selected.
              The combined SoC enables us maximizing the hardware performance by PROGRAMMING THE FPGA. Depending on the application, this can increase the speed by ten times, in comparison to not using the FPGA.

            • The VC nano Z-LED Smart Cameras come with the well-proven nano housing, and provide thus the same I/Os. With their tiny size and field-tested connections they easily can be integrated into existing machines.
              All models of these compact Embedded Vision Systems are based on the board cameras of VCSBC NANO Z SERIES. Several different CMOS sensors of well-known manufacturers like Teledyne e2v and Sony, including Pregius sensors, with several resolutions can be selected.

            • The VC pro Z series provides the optimal protection for all applications in rough environment: Housing and M12 connectors conform to IP67 protection class. Additionally, single components are selectable: The embedded system can be delivered with integrated lens and/or high power LED lighting, if requested. Basis for the VC pro Z cameras is the BOARD CAMERA VERSION VCSBC NANO Z. Like all other Z models, users have the service option to boost the already enormous performance by a multiple.
          • Systems on Module

          • The new VC Q-Board is a "System on Module" which can be used flexibly for any application - even without sensors.
            Equipped with several standard interfaces, the Q-Board provides for ideal and fast communication. Already installed IP camera systems can be transformed into Smart Systems, for example. The integrated freely programmable SoC from Xilinx provides for that.

                  The compact board with a size of 40x50 mm is based on the ARMTM Dual Core processor ZYNQ© with 2x866 MHz and features the CARRIDA SOFTWARE ENGINE. Carrida is a ANPR/ALPR library that reliably identifies even dirty, damaged or skewed license plates with a recognition accuracy of more than 96%. Once the camera and board are connected via a switch, Carrida automatically receives the video stream and the Q-Board directly processes the incoming data. Users therefore receive an easy-to-integrate hardware solution with ready-to-use functions that offers a comfortable option to upgrade existing systems.

                  The new VC Z models offer new options: Thanks to the ZYNQ® SoC module with integrated FPGA, the performance of hard- and software can be maximized by FPGA optimization. With this, processing times can be up to ten times faster than without using optimized PFGA.
                  We offer this service as an individual service feature or as standardized FPGA Packs in combination with our software tools. The respective FPGA Pack processes the requested function in parallel to the image acquitition and generates with that the higher processing speed.

                      • With our 3D embedded camera systems you are ready for all applications: Our 3D systems are available as board cameras or equipped with housing, if necessary with protective housing, also with integrated optics and lighting or equipped with extremely small sensor housings.
                        Two different procedures can be used with them: The VC nano 3D-Z models additionally feature a laser, the required values are provided via laser triangulation. All other models are equipped with 2 sensors for STEREO VISION.
                        All VC 3D systems are freely programmable and equipped with the VC LINUX OS.

                            The VC nano 3D-Z laser profiler series integrate a blue high-power laser and an intelligent camera in one IP67 protection housing. They are available in several sizes and thus optimal suited for the application-specific working distances and tasks. Thanks to the primarily designed "Ambient Light Suppression Technology" even extreme lighting conditions up to 100,000 Lux are no problem.
                        • Arm Laser Triangulation

                        • All models of the new VC nano 3D-Z series integrate a laser and an INTELLIGENT CAMERA in one housing. Core of these embedded systems is a BOARD CAMERA OF VCSBC NANO Z SERIES. Its FPGA in the internal Zynq SoC module is used for laser triangulation tasks, so the freely programmable dual core ARM is completely available for application tasks.

                                      VC LibQ is available exclusively for our VC Z CAMERAS. Additionally, we designed software packs for certain applications. This means, if you don't need the complete extent of the Halcon library, you can choose between several alternatives. Any pack features the full VCLib functionality anyway.

                                    • 2D code recognition for data matrix codes and barcodes
                                      The VC Smart Reader identifies reliably 2D codes, e.g. data matrix codes and barcodes, and is enormously fast with reading rates of 150 codes/per second. Code detection and reading is not affected by the code's shape and size, its rotation and illumnination - it doesn't matter if the background is bright or dark. Mirrored and partially covered or destroyed codes are reliably identified, too.
                                      This high-performance software tool is ready to use, since all relevant parameters are pre-configured in the Auto Mode. Of course, the VC Smart Reader can be refined anytime by the user. The Teach-In Mode allows the user to read a code sample - DMC or barcode - which parameters are stored in a list and the Parameter Adjustment Mode allows for manual adjustment of parameters to improve performance.

                                    • Contour-based object recognition
                                      The VC Smart Finder allows to identify structures by means of preset patterns. The object is recognized a hundred percent, no matter what object it is: bottle labels as well as complex components, for example.
                                      VC Smart Finder operates with subpixel accuracy and guarantees high-speed processing: up to 100 objects are recognized per second, not influenced by object rotation, object scale or illumination. Moreover, the software recognizes objects which are occluded up to 80 %.
                                      Thanks to the training mode, the adaption of new objects is very comfortable.
