Alongside drive technology from our standard range of  Motors, Gears and Converters / Control systems, we also offer non-standard developments optimized for individual applications in the field of electromechanics, electronic control, as well as switching and control systems for the optimum solution of demanding drive technology requirements.

Product Line Up
Motors
SSB-Antriebstechnik manufactures electric machines based on all known technologies. Consistent utilization of the full mounting space available for electromagnetically active components such as the winding and magnetic circuit results in electrical machines capable of offering maximum efficiency coupled with minimal space requirement and extremely low weight.
Asynchronous machines
SSB asynchronous machines for frequency converter operation are used to implement highly dynamic drive systems.

Power: from 0,2 to 760 kW
Speed: up to 2985 max rpm
Torque: up to 2427 Nm

Synchronous machines
SSB synchronous machines permit operation both in constant-frequency systems and on static frequency converters. The speed of these motors can be varied by changing the feed frequency with control ranges greater than 1:100.

SSB synchronous machines possess very high synchronous torque levels and substantial overload capability.

Rated output: from 0,3 to 22 kW
Start-up Torque: from 2 to 220 Nm
Breakdown Torque: from 2.7 to 320 Nm

Servo drives
The brushless SSB servo and hollow-shaft servo drive systems are designed as standard for operation with servo amplifiers with threephase power output. This permits the implementation of highly dynamic speed and torque control circuits, as well as position and speed control over a wide adjustment range.

Torque: from 1.5 to 250 Nm
Peak Torque: from 6 to 175 Nm

Direct current machines
SSB direct current machines can be used to implement highly dynamic speed and torque control circuits.

Torque: from 0.5 to 477 Nm
Rated Speed: from 1500 to 3000 rpm

Positioning drives
SSB positioning drives are durable threephase motors with two isolated windings, integrated electromechanical holding brake, external ventilation and thermal winding protection.

SSB positioning drives can be supplied with a wide range of different motor characteristics, guaranteeing optimum adjustment even under difficult operating

Output: from 0,025 to 60 kW
Rapid traverse speed: from 2580 to 2950 rpm
Max. breaking Torque: 4 to 540 Nm

Special drive engineering
Alongside the drive engineering expertise offered in our standard range, we also undertake bespoke electromechanical developments - specifically engineered solutions to demanding requirements in the field of drive engineering.
Gears
Alongside its standard gear range, SSB-Antriebstechnik also produces a wide range of customer-specific gears designed precisely in line with the specific application. All SSB gears are dimensioned as a point of principle to ensure a long life and optimum operational reliability.
Coaxial gears
SSB coaxial gears feature the following characteristics:
  • Output shaft runs coaxially to the motor shaft
  • 1-3 step configuration, with series-connected gear 3-4 step, as double gear 4-5 step
  • Base and flange-mounting designs
  • Gear housing made of high-grade grey cast iron
  • Shafts, wheels and bearings are made of high-grade steels
  • The gear wheels are case-hardened >60 HRC, helical geared with ground tooth flanks
  • Completely closed gears, protection rating IP 55
  • With the exception of types with single-step series connected gear and single-step gears, the output and motor shafts are coaxially positioned

Flat gears
SSB flat gears feature the following characteristics:
  • Output shaft runs coaxially to the motor shaft
  • The gears are 2-step, by mounting an additional 1 or 2-step gear, a 3 or 4-step version can be produced
  • Gear housing in high-grade grey cast iron
  • Extremely high speed reduction ratios can be achieved
  • Shafts, wheels and bearings are made of high-grade steel
  • All wheels are case-hardened > 60 HRC, with helical gearing and ground tooth flanks
  • The gears are completely closed, protection rating IP 55

Worm gears
SSB worm gears feature the following special characteristics:
  • Drive shaft runs at right angles to the motor shaft
  • Gear housing in high-grade grey cast iron
  • Depending on the required speed reduction ratio, gears are self-inhibiting
  • The worm gear is manufactured from phosphor-bronze
  • All wheels are case hardened > 60 HRC, with helical gearing and ground tooth flanks
  • Shafts, wheels and bearings made of high-grade steel
  • Gears are completely enclosed, protection rating IP 55
 
Helical bevel gears
SSB helical bevel gears feature the following special characteristics:
  • Output shaft runs at right angles to the motor shaft
  • 3-step configuration, with series-connected gear 4 -5 step
  • Base and flange-mounting designs
  • Gear housing in high-grade grey cast iron
  • Shafts, wheels and bearings made of high-grade steel
  • All wheels are case hardened > 60 HRC, with helical gearing and ground tooth flanks
  • Gears are completely enclosed, protection rating IP 55

Converters and control systems
SSB-Antriebstechnik offers a complete range of converters capable of turning a rigid power supply into one with variable voltages and/or frequencies. These devices are essentially designed to provide a controlled energy supply to electrical machines. As well as the necessary output stages they also feature a suitable processor for the implementation of complex control circuits.
Universal converters
The universal converters UNITEC 2000 and UNITEC 3000 can be used to implement all types of threephase drive. The required operating mode is determined by parameter setting.
Frequency converters
SSB frequency converters are used to implement a wide range of applications using standard and custom-specific software modules.
Servo converters
SSB servo converters are used to implement a wide range of applications using standard and custom-specific software modules.
Power converters for DC machines
SSB power converters for DC machines provide a series of converters for low-loss speed and torque control of DC machines.
Voltage controllers / Soft start controllers
SSB offers a whole range of voltage controllers for stepless torque control and soft start-up of asynchronous machines adjusted ideally to the offered drive systems, to address a wide range of drive requirements.
System solutions
