Linear Tritex
Exlar’s Tritex Series actuators combine three technologies
to deliver a simple and low-cost alternative for fluid power actuators and
costly servo systems. Tritex electric actuators combine a brushless motor, servo
amplifier and position controller in a single industrial grade enclosure. This
eliminates both the external servo amplifier and the cables associated with a
typical servo system.
Tritex linear actuators employ Exlar’s patented, inverted roller screw mechanism
for converting the rotational motion generated within the actuator to highly
robust and long-life linear motion.
Tritex software allows you to create a sequence which causes the the actuator,
when commanded, to move forward while pressing an object into position. You can
establish a pre-programmed force which triggers an event such as stopping or
retracting to another position or it can maintain that force level until
commanded otherwise. The sequence is ideal for assembly, test, fastening and
pressing applications.

GSX Series
The GSX Series linear actuators offer a complete linear
actuator solution, in the most compact package, for nearly any application or
environment. The GSX Series includes Exlar’s high capacity inverted roller screw
technology, offering 15 times the life of similarly sized ball screws. Planetary
rollers assembled around the actuator’s extending rod follow threads which are
precisely machined on the inside surface of the actuator’s hollow armature.
Linear motion is produced in precise synchronization with the armature rotation.
Because this roller screw mechanism has an inherently larger cumulative contact
surface, these actuators have a much longer working life, and can handle heavier
loads at higher speeds than is possible from a similarly sized unit built around
a ball screw system. Selection of the proper feedback configuration allows GSM
Series actuators to be powered by nearly every brand of brushless motor
amplifier on the market.

GSM Series
The GSM Series provides an excellent replacement for ball
screw actuators and offers 5 times the travel life of a similarly sized ball
screw. This design incorporates Exlar’s patented roller screw technology with an
integral brushless servo motor for medium to high performance motion control
applications. The GSM design provides a smaller package with higher speed and
load capacity and longer life than ball screws and other traditional rotary to
linear conversion mechanisms. Selection of the proper feedback configuration
allows GSM Series actuators to be powered by nearly every brand of brushless
motor amplifier on the market.

I Series
Exlar I Series Actuators present a new range of
alternatives for linear motion solutions. The I Series actuators offer all of
the benefits of Exlar's planetary roller screw technology, along with extreme
flexibility in actuator mounting style, and the type of motor used to drive the
actuator.
Exlar's roller screw technology has been the integral component in creating
reliable, long lasting electromechanical actuators. For the last 15 years,
Exlar's inverted roller screw actuators have provided a long-life, all-electric
replacement for hydraulic cylinders in thousands of applications.
I Series Features:
- Flexible mounting options
- Adapts to various types of motors
- Optional inline planetary gear reducer for high force output from lower
motor torques

FT Series
Exlar FT Series force tubes use a roller screw mounted
inside a telescoping tube mechanism. The follower is attached to the moveable
force tube, which then extends and retracts as the screw rotates. The FT Series
is designed to be compatible with a wide variety of standard motors. Motor
mounting and gearing configurations are available to meet nearly any
application's requirements. The standard product offering includes three frame
sizes with strokes from 12 inches to eight feet. The continuous duty thrust load
rating is 2,000 to 20,000 lbf with a peak load rating up to 40,000 lbf.

 |
EL Series
The EL Series linear actuators offer users all of the
advantages of Exlar’s patented inverted roller screw actuator designs in a Class
I, div 1, Groups B, C or D explosion-proof package. These electro-mechanical
systems provide process engineers a clean, fast, simple and cost effective
replacement for hydraulic actuation and a longer life alternative to pneumatic
actuation. The roller screw technology manufactured by Exlar outperforms rival
ball screws by 15 times in travel life and can carry higher loads.
The EL Series actuator is compatible with nearly any manufacturers’
resolver-based amplifier.

roller screws provide solutions to a wide range of applications - from the most
compact and precise to the largest and extremely high load requirements.
Roller Screw Advantages
Roller screw design provides high speeds, stiffness and shock load resistance
compared to other technologies.
- Large static loads - up to 779,000 lbf.
High screw speeds - 5,000 rpm and above
- Up to 15 times longer life than comparably sized ball screws. Ideally
suited for continuous duty applications.
- Preloaded nut options for zero backlash.
- Variety of flange designs

Rotary Tritex
Exlar’s Tritex Series actuators combine three technologies
to deliver a simple and low-cost alternative for fluid power actuators and
costly servo systems. Tritex electric actuators combine a brushless motor, servo
amplifier and position controller in a single industrial grade enclosure. This
eliminates both the external servo amplifier and the cables associated with a
typical servo system.
Tritex rotary motors and gearmotors provide higher response and precise control
of a rotatable shaft similar to that found in any electric motor. The difference
is that with Tritex you can program (via your PC) the rotational speed and
position of the output shaft in response to external commands. For example, the
motor can be commanded to rotate at a controlled velocity and precisely stop at
a pre-programmed position upon receiving a command to do so. You can also
program the unit to run at a preset velocity until a switch input is received or
a pre-programmed torque level is produced (against a load). Alternatively, the
rotary Tritex can be set up to follow an analog signal, either voltage or
current, representing torque, velocity, or position.

SLM and SLG Series
SLM Series Brushless Motors offer a very compact
size/high torque ratio and provide outstanding performance when compared to
traditional motion control companies' products. Three frame sizes are available
offering continuous torques to 237 lbf-in and speeds to 5000 rpm.
SLG Series Brushless Gearmotors
offer you one of the highest power densities available in motion control.
Currently the SLG gearmotors are available in three frame sizes, 60, 90 and 115
mm frames with 1, 2 or 3 stack lengths. Single and double reductions are
available in 4:1, 5:1, 10:1, 16:1, 25:1, 40:1, 50:1, and 100:1. Their unique
design is especially valued in applications where weight or space is at a
premium. SLG gearmotors are UL Recognized.

ER Series
ER Series Explosion-Proof motors are rated for Class 1,
div 1, Groups B, C and D. The compact gearmotor comprises a brushless permanent
magnet motor optimized for use with an integral planetary gear set. Through the
uniform load sharing of several gears acting in concert, planetary gearheads
provide a very compact, reliable solution providing high torque, low backlash
and low maintenance. The ER Series motor can be matched with our digital
control, the SV Series, to provide a servo system suitable for hazardous duty.
Alternatively, these motors and gearmotors are compatible with nearly any
manufacturers' amplifier.

 |
SV Series
The SV Series Positioners were designed specifically for
use with Exlar rotary and linear actuators to control valves and dampers in
process control applications. The all-electric design eliminates the complexity
of applying electro-hydraulic interface pilot valves or electric-pneumatic
positioners, and provides two-way communication between your system and the
actuator.
The fully digital SV Series Positioners operate from standard process control
inputs allowing for simple retrofits of hydraulic or pneumatic actuated valve
applications or dampers. SV Series Positioners used with Exlar's high
performance linear and rotary actuators can also replace fluid power and low
performance electric actuators, eliminating problems associated with actuator
failures.
