process.
Product Line Up
Standard robots
The AEB Robotics desktop machines, marked by
extraordinary operation flexibility, precision and repetitiveness, are the
ultimate expression of applied technology in a wide range of production
settings.
All the robots belongs to the category of interpolated three and four-axes
Cartesian robots. They use ball screws electric linear actuators to achieve
a 6-micron working precision. The machines are supplied with PC-compatible
AEB Robotics programming software and a PDA for quick modification of the
parameters.
A work profile is created on a PC simply and intuitively, so that extremely
complex operations can be carried out quickly and efficiently. The work
profiles contain not only information about positioning and speed, but also
include the status of the inputs and outputs to which the tools are
connected. Programs developed with this procedure are stored in memory and
loaded into the robot, ready to be called up by the operator on board the
machine using the PDA supplied.
TETRABOT
The TETRABOT Cartesian robot with freestanding
cantilever structure is designed to be easily and quickly installed on
automated lines for the construction of many automated applications (e.g.
dispensing or screwing).
TETRABOT represents a key-product for both manufacturers and integrators
since:
The working area is modular and customizable (ranging from 400x400mm to
800x600mm) It guarantees the installation of applications up to 12 Kg on the
Z-axis
The programming is extremely simple, thanks to the ALPHA electronics and the
proprietary software It offers several channels for the robot-assembling
line interaction: through the 16-input and 16-output general purposes
available (controlled via external PLC for example), through the RS232
serial port or via bus CAN Open.
Its solid steel-bearing structure, the self-powered trailers made in
anticorodal aluminium alloy, the roller guides on steel rails, the axes
pre-loaded in order to have zero backlash and the bipolar stepper motors
enhance the robot extreme precision and high reliability during movements.
Tetrabot’s design is smooth and appealing thanks to the epoxy powder
coating, the machined billet aluminium parts, the built-in fittings for
cables, pipes and other accessories. These features improve furthermore the
installation and start-up user friendliness of the robot.

Mario
The MARIO Cartesian robot (WRL200), fully in line with
the AEB Robotics philosophy, assures an effective production solution for
all small businesses which want to take advantage of automation to improve
their production processes without having to make large investments.
MARIO was designed specifically for fluid dispensing operations:
in fact, many production processes require the repetitive, fast and precise
dosing of glues or other liquids which is very difficult to do manually. At
the same time, when correctly programmed and fitted with tools, it can carry
out many other operations (including welding, grinding, etc.), as it
combines great versatility with easy programming and use by the operator.
The MARIO SW programming software, fully in-house developed by AEB Robotics,
can be used to connect to the robot via a PC to modify its configuration
parameters, diagnose the devices and create and modify system work programs.
The work programs are easy to create, simply by entering the work steps in a
table or directly into the 3D graph. The 3D viewing of the work path, the
possibility to enter comments, use the copy/paste or step-by-step debugging
function assure the vertical reduction of programming and editing times.

Mechatronics
Alpha series
Alpha series is a motion control system for cartesian
axis, that allows to make both linear and circular interpolations in the
work space. Through a programming software, sequences are loaded on the
memory of the central unit. The unit is independent and can be controlled by
software and LCD control panel, or by other systems (i.e. via serial
commands inputs and outputs and CANOpen (R) controls).
The PC software
interface, connectable to central unit USB port, in a very simple way,
allows :
The system set up (axis number and dimensions, ramps and maximum
speeds set up, existing sensors typology, etc.)
The works programming: the robot movement steps (point, line, arch,
circle, area) generate 3D handling sequences (both point-to-point and
continuous path) that can detect inputs or activate outputs during
execution. Thanks to flow control passes (comment, bifurcation, jump,
calibration line, delay, inputs detection, outputs setting, subprogram
execution) you can implement loops, subroutines, conditional portions of
the program: like a programming language, it allows to realize all logic
control and every kind of application. The ability to import coordinates
from DXF (CAD), LOD (Gerber) and XLS (Excel) files further reduces the
robot programming time, exploiting data that the user already has in
other systems. Utilities such as copy/paste, paste-shifted, multiple
editing and the ability to create subprograms help the user to master
the final application quickly. Specific parameters (outputs activation
advance, calibration lines, etc.) allow the maximum precision and
repeatability in production contexts and destructured environments when
some calibrations and positionings can vary with every cycle.
Diagnosis and program testing: trajectories 3D visualization and the
"step by step" execution of each step of the program allow a faster
robot positions test and program debug for the refinement and
calibration of the final application.
The CU4 CPU is equipped with on-board flash memory for managing up to
100,000 working points, organisable into 255 programs. Standard CiA DSP402
CANOpen and RS232 connectivity supports available. Pre-arrangement for RS485

outputs (NPN or PNP selectable through hardware).
The RBT5 can manage incremental encoders in order to guarantee precise
control of the crankshaft’s position.
The Windows-compatible graphic interface speeds up the card’s configuration
procedure, making it compatible with various types of axes, engines and
sensors. Speed profiles (acceleration, nominal speed, deceleration) and
speed connections in the case of point sequences can be set, and delays as
well as input and output status can be managed.
The RBT5 is equipped with electronic protection against overcurrent,
overvoltage and overtemperature. Input and output status is indicated by

Electronic production machines
AEB Robotics, leveraging its expertise in electronic
design and industrial automation, and Meta System Spa, italian company
specializing in mechanical automation, collaborate to provide a range of
machines dedicated to the electronics production, offering after-SMT and
modular solutions for customized PCBs assembling, soldering and finishing.
AIR JET
AirJet is an automatic selective soldering station with
lead or lead-free, mainly oriented to the PCB assembling phase.
Thanks to the SMEMA protocol, AirJet allows the expansion of the system to
other soldering stations in order to complete the production process.
The machine is equipped with a camera for fiducial recognition and the
quality of the process is granted by an optical system which supervises all
the activities that determine the output.
The welding process takes place by heating the parts to be joint together
through incandescent gas injection (nitrogen or carbon dioxide) that
undergoes a forced passage in the injector and acquires specific skills,
avoiding to burn the adjacent area.
EASY LASER
EasyLaser is an in-line PCB stationary laser marking
system working on an area of 100x100mm and adjustable along the Y axis.
Thanks to the reduced size of the machine and to the SMEMA protocol,
EasyLaser can be used in the SMT assembly line. The materials that can be
marked are: PCB, white and transparent plastic and paper, etc.
The precision of the source offers the possibility to create barcode or data
matrix as small as 3x3 mm including 18 characters.
The software also enables the serial number process management.
LASER CUT
LaserCut is a versatile system mainly used in the
separation of the PCB panels’ single parts.
The laser allows a heat stress-free process on the components or substrates
that are near to the cutting area. The accuracy of the machine makes the
repeatability of the work possible.
The import of GERBER or Excel files offers maximum versatility in
programming and faster execution.
The SMEMA communication protocol guarantees the placement of LaserCut either
in a SMT assembly line or as a stand-alone machine with its own handling
system.
X-Y LASER
X-Y Laser is a marking machine used for PCB writing that
moves on both axis, X and Y.
The machine can be used in all circumstances in which each single part of
the panel need to be marked.
The machine is equipped with two cameras: one recognizes the position of the
fiducials for the optical alignment of the details and the other one checks
the quality of the printing.
The precision of the source offers the possibility to create barcode or data
matrix as small as 3x3 mm including 18 characters.
The software also enables the serial number process management.
Multifunctional station
Multifunction station is an all-around machine in the
market of automated assembly robots.
Its 4-axis structure and movement precision support different functions
allowing to fix either an automatic screwdriver or a dispensing system or an
inspection camera, etc.
Thanks to the SMEMA communication protocol, a line can be configured with
all Multifunction Stations, each one set to function differently in order to
cover the chain from the beginning to the end.
The import of GERBER or Excel files offers maximum flexibility in
programming.
Turning station
