 |
| Gear Couplings |
| TB Wood’s Gear couplings are dependable and provide
efficient operation in high torque applications. Six varieties of gear couplings
are available to match the specific performance and operational application
requirements you require. |
|
| Sure-Flex® Couplings |
| TB Wood’s Sure-Flex® couplings use a rubber (EPDM),
neoprene, or Hytrel sleeve and have exceptional torsional flexibility. Their
4-way flexing action absorbs virtually all types of shock, misalignment, and end
float. With Sure-Flex couplings, the need for lubrication and maintenance is
eliminated. As a result, these couplings provide clean, dependable, and quiet
performance for a variety of applications. |
|
| Dura-Flex® Couplings |
| TB Wood’s Dura-Flex® couplings are designed from the
ground up using finite element analysis to maximize flex life. Perfect for a
wide variety of applications -- including those with uniform to heavy shock
loads -- Dura-Flex® couplings employ a light weight element that absorbs shock
loading and torsional vibration. These couplings are available in stock
bore-to-size (BTS, Taper-Lock® and Sure-Grip® bushed (QT) hubs. |
|
| Jaw Couplings |
| TB Wood’s Jaw couplings are designed to meet high-quality
standards while remaining affordable. Wood’s offers two Jaw-type elastomeric
couplings: a straight L-Jaw coupling available with four insert materials and a
straight C-Jaw coupling designed for high-torque loads. Both are 100%
interchangeable with industry-standard designs. |
|
 |
 |
 |
 |
| HD Elastomeric Couplings |
| TB Wood’s HD Elastomeric couplings offer high tolerance to
misalignment and control shock loads. A proven design uses resilient urethane
and cylindrical rolling elements that transmit torque without applying
misalignment forces to either shaft. These couplings are a low-cost,
high-performance solution for light or heavy loads. |
|
| Form-Flex® Couplings |
| Form-Flex® couplings transmit torque while compensating
for angular, parallel and axial misalignment between two connected shafts.
Flexible disc couplings minimize the misalignment forces on the connected
equipment. |
|
| Rigid Couplings |
| TB Wood’s Rigid couplings are ribbed-type compression
couplings that are recommended for emergency and regular service on heavily
loaded shafts. These couplings are bored true to shaft size, and the halves are
separated during the boring operation to allow for clamping when the halves are
drawn together. |
|
| High Speed and Engingeered |
| TB Wood’s High Speed and Engineered gear couplings are not
only an enhancement to our standard product line, but a specialty. TB Wood’s
dominates the specialty gear coupling market with a wide variety of high

grain, high tensile cast iron and have been carefully engineered to assure
maximum performance over a long life span. For applications with special
requirements, Wood’s sheaves are also available on a made-to-order basis in
either cast or ductile iron, in in Sure-Grip® or bored-to-suit construction. |
|
| Classical Drives (Conventional) |
| TB Wood’s Classical (also known as Conventional) V-belts
include five cross sections: A, B, C, D, and E. These sections are a continuing
development of the original V-belts of the 1930’s. A, B, C, and D belts are
available in wrapped or cog construction and all are static conducting, and oil
and heat resistant. |
|
| Light Duty Drives (FHP) |
| TB Wood’s light-duty sheaves are available in two types,
both with one and two grooves. "A" sheaves are made to accommodate A (4L) belts;
"B" sheaves are made for A (4L) or B (5L) belts. The two lines of sheaves have
identical pitch diameters when using A or 4L belts. Wood’s light-duty sheaves
can be equipped with Wood’s "QT" Sure-Grip QD-type bushings, quick-detachable
tapered bushings that are split through flange and tapered surface to provide a
true clamp that is comparable to a shrink fit. |
|
| Poly-V Sheaves |
| The Wood’s Poly-V sheaves include four cross sections: J,
K, L, and M. The J section sheaves are stocked in a Sure-Grip QD Style and also
bored-to-size for sheaves under 2”. The K, L, and M sections are available on a
made-to-order basis in either cast or ductile iron and in Sure-Grip or
bored-to-size design. |
|
| Synchronous Drives |
| TB Wood’s
synchronous drives require no lubrication and transmit power efficiently and
smoothly. They combine the best of both chain and belt drives, providing
positive power transmission and accurate speeds while requiring little
maintenance. Load capacities scale up to 1200 HP at 1750 R.P.M., and Wood’s
synchronous drives offer high efficiency while being lightweight and compact.
Everything you expect from a great timing belt drive. |
|
 |
 |
 |
|
| Synchronous Plus |
| TB Wood’s Synchronous Plus synchronous drives offer the
added flexibility of a dual sprocket design that features both metric and
standard-tapped holes coupled with a high capacity Synchronous Plus belt. As a
result, the Synchronous Plus drive offers a significantly higher horsepower
rating at the standard industry price. |
|
| QT Power Chain® |
| TB Wood’s QT Power Chain® synchronous belt drives are
constructed with materials of the highest quality and strength. Extensive
development performed by research & development has resulted in the homogeneous
integration of all components, the cohesive bond of which imparts superior
torque capacity giving QT Power Chain® drives the ability to exceed the
performance of existing belt drives and compete with chain and other mechanical
systems. |
|
| Timing Drives |
| TB Wood’s timing belt drives are a
highly efficient job-proved medium for mechanical power transmission. These
drives combine the advantages of chain and gear drives with the advantages of
belted drives, without the limitations usually associated with these drives.
Timing belt drives deliver savings in weight, space and construction without a
sacrifice in efficiency, and they are adaptable to almost any kind of power
transmission drive. |
|
|
| Variable Speed Drives |
TB Wood’s offers a
