Product Line Up

Products
All VIPA systems are programmable with STEP®7 from
Siemens or with WinPLC7, the programming tool from VIPA. The VIPA system
300S is designed for compatibility to S7-300® from Siemens enabling mixed
operation, e. g. with CPUs from VIPA and modules from Siemens.
Systems 100V, 200V and 300S offer solutions for centralized and
decentralized applications. For centralized use a variety of CPUs is
available. Depending on the type, the CPUs of systems 200V and 300S are
equipped with an integrated CP 343 for communication via Ethernet.
As a standard, the CPUs in system 300S are equipped with an Ethernet
Interface for PG/OP communication. For decentral applications, CPUs with
integrated Profibus DP SlaveInterface as well as ProfibusDP, CAN, INTERBUS,
Ethernet and DeviceNetSlaveFieldbusCoupler are available.

System SLIO
Presenting the completely new developed I/O system SLIO®,
VIPA once again sets new standards in the automation industry.
By means of the modular and extremely compact SLIO the realization of almost
every automated solution will from now on be simpler and especially more
economical.
SLIO can be combined and applied with each of the established VIPA systems
100V, 200V, 300S, 500S.
It´s one of the most effective and modern decentralized I/O systems
available on the market. It combines high functionality with a clever
mechanic concept in an extremely compact design.

System 100V
The VIPA system 100V is a Micro-PLC system programmable
with Step®7 from Siemens or WinPLC7 - a programming tool from VIPA. With a
compact design, system 100V provides a maximum expansion of up to 160 I/O
points by plugging in expansion modules. These Micro-PLCs are especially
suitable for use in smaller and cost-conscious applications.

System 200V
The VIPA System 200V is a highly compact and modular
control system for centralized and decentralized applications. Due to the
variety of modules available, it can be used for nearly all mid-range
applications.

System 300S
The High-Speed control system
With the VIPA "SPEED7 Technology", system 300S is the fastest control
system in the world programmable with Step®7 from Siemens. The maximum
memory for program and data has already been integrated into the SPEED7
CPUs. For this reason the CPUs can be operated without an additional memory
card. Depending on the CPU type, the integrated work memory can be expanded
to 8MByte with the VIPA Memory extension card as required.
All CPUs in the
System 300S are equipped with an Ethernet Interface for PG/OP communication.
A CP 343 interface for TCP/IP communication has been integrated in the "NET"
CPUs. Because of its high performance and scalable memory, system 300S is
especially suitable for mid to high range applications.

SPEED7

The SPEED7 CPUs from VIPA are the fastest CPUs for rack
mounted hard PLCs in the world. They are built for time critical
applications and supply the increasing needs for growing memory capacities.
Users
SPEED7 is an Open Source-Technology for real time automation solutions.
Manufacturers of automated equipment and integrators of control solutions
have already been designing and supplying our SPEED7 technology around the
world. SPEED7 will provide the system control for your I/O and is able to
interface with your HMI terminals.

The important advantages for all users of SPEED7 Technology is the 100%
instruction set compatibility to STEP®7 from Siemens. Siemens claim that
STEP®7 programming language enjoys a global market penetration of more than
25%.
Technical Information
The SPEED7-concept was created for industrial applications with extreme
environmental conditions. In comparison to the open processor architecture,
such as the Pentium4®- Derivate, which produces between 60W ~ 100W
dissipation and depends on the engine-power class, the PLC 7000-Processor
produces a dissipation power of only 1.2W max.

System 500S
The PC control system
With the VIPA "Speed7 Technology", system 500S is the fastest control
system, programmable with Step®7 from Siemens, in the world. The maximum
memory for program and data has already been integrated into the SPEED7
CPUs. Depending on the CPU type, the integrated memory can be expanded up to
8MByte respectively using the appropriate VIPA MCC - Memory extension card.
The VIPA system 500S has been designed for operation in a PC slot with PCI
interface. An OPC server for communication between CPU and PC is included in
the scope of delivery. Peripherals are connected through the integrated
Profibus-DP-Master interface.
The CPUs are equipped with an Ethernet interface for PG/OP communication.
The CPU 517S/NET has an additional CP343 for TCP/IP communication. Owing to
their high performance (Speed7 Technology) and their scaleable memory, the
CPUs are suitable for complex control tasks.

HMI
With display sizes of 5,7" to 12,1", Windows®CE 5.0
operating system and visualization software, the VIPA Touch Panels provide
universally desirable solutions.
The Touch Panels can also be installed with Windows®CE 5.0, Windows®CE 5.0
Professional and with MoviconX Real Flexible or zenOn 6.20. The VIPA
Commander Compact CC 03 with double spaced display, integrated CPU and I/O
expansion capacity is the ideal solution for smaller control and operator
tasks.
The VIPA Operator Panel OP 03 and the Text Display TD 03 are universal
operator panels for application with VIPA Systems and other control systems
via MPI interface.

Software
Structure and Function
Software tools allow a comfortable programming and parameterization of VIPA
systems and other automation concepts. These software tools are included on
the tool demo CD (SW900T0LA) as activatable full versions. OPC-Server
The OPC-Server provides the standard interface for accessing data from OPC
clients to PLC systems from different manufacturers. The OPC-Server supports
TCP/IP networks via standard network cards as well as MPI networks that have
one or more COM ports, an MPI-serial converter and/or are connected via VIPA
MPI-USB adapter.
Programming Software
WinPLC7 is a programming system for Systems 100V up to 500S as well as
for the Siemens controllers S7-300 and S7-400.

Accessories

Structure and Function
The accessories expand the functionality and the application range of the
control of VIPA systems of other manufacturers. The accessories are useable
across systems and are largely manufacturer independent. Interface modules
The IM 306 modules, or PROFIBUS-DP slave interface cards for the SIMATIC S5,
enable simple, economical and safe upgrading to newer control systems with
PROFIBUS-DP master interfaces, while maintaining the Siemens SIMATIC S5
peripherals.
Teleservice modules
The Teleservice modules from VIPA are completely configurable via a web
browser (e.g. Internet Explorer). You do not need any additional software.
Teleservice modules allow the collection of data from your machines and
plant and send them automatically via e-mail to defined recipients. With
these records, the overview of the machine and plant status is fully
guaranteed.
The deployed VPN technology allows secure and encrypted connection between a
PC and the devices connected to the Teleservice modules.
Cables and DP connectors
Accessories, such as programming and PROFIBUS cables in various lengths,
PROFIBUS-DP connectors with integrated intelligence and LED diagnostic
display, a comprehensive set of adapters, rails, and connectors support the
versatile use of the systems.
The bus connector EasyConn PB is used for connection of PROFIBUS
participants in the bus line. The diagnostic LEDs, visible from all sides,
facilitate starting considerably. The status of bus activity, the final
resistance, the power supply and bus status are directly visible. The
integrated controller supports data rates up to 12 Mbit/s.
