GWA, the first Greek Wakeboard and Kite Surf Association, was founded in order to promote two extreme water sports in Greece. The goals of GWA are athletic, cultural, and promotional. In order to achieve these goals, GWA is actively going to: Create greater awareness of wakeboard and kite surf and encourage participants to participate in national as well as international competitions.

Summer 2003: One of this summer's main kiting event will definitely be The Cycladic Kite Surf Tour: 5 team riders representing international kite brands will tour the main Cycladic islands this summer, promoting the 5 colors of the Olympic Games. Events will be organized at each stop.
 The Wakeboard Tour: Scheduled to start in June, the wake tour will take you to four different locations for a weekend of pure fun and wake.
