Farymann Diesel

Company Profile

The company Farymann was established in the year 1947 by Messrs. Farny and Weidmann. They are based in Lampertheim in the area of Hessen. Since then the company has been producing single-cylinder diesel engines for industrial, construction equipment as well as marine and special applications. The small scale enterprise quickly expanded to a medium-sized company. In 1979 the American group, Briggs & Stratton took over the company. From that point of time on, the company has developed into a modern industrial production plant. Since 1985 Farymann Diesel has been an independent German GmbH (similar to limited liability company).
