Today’s working environments are hard to imagine without foldable furniture. At least that’s the case with furniture in offices and conference spaces anyway. Back in 1995, Andreas Störiko’s Confair folding table had already paved the way for a future in which flexible and variable workspaces were to gain increasingly in importance. For the first time, the new table generation made it possible to create conference systems made of moveable tables that were compact to stow away. In no time at all, a variety of different layouts ranging from horseshoe shapes, to islands, to rows can be formed for meetings of any size.

Dynamic interaction lies at the heart of the success of the revolutionary table. Due to its innovative nature and top-quality design it’s long become one of the classic pieces of furniture. “My goal is to really get to grips with things from an aesthetic and functional standpoint, so that they are rock solid”, stresses the designer Andreas Störiko whose development has radically changed working environments. Confair means that rooms are quickly equipped to suit preferences. Lockable castors ensure the table can be moved about. The table top is easy to fold and ensures space-saving storage. This is a particularly efficient aspect because a variety of usage options means less space is required.
