Standard parts are utilised as standardised products in tools, forms and mechanical engineering. FIBRO standard parts stand for the highest precision and optimum availability.

The Standard Parts Division is located in the FIBRO factories in Hassmersheim and Weinsberg. A comprehensive standard program is manufactured, stored, and shipped worldwide from there – also just-in-time, e.g. for the clocked production.

The product range for the machine tool, mould and machinery manufacture includes pillar frames, guide elements, low-maintenance sliding elements, precision components such as punches and dies, spiral compression springs and gas springs with the highest safety level, moulding materials, metal adhesives and casting resins, peripheral equipment for presses and machine tools and tool gate valves with wedge, roller or hydraulic drives and standard parts for mould-making.

FIBRO’s latest innovation is an electronic thread forming unit, which allows threads to be formed in the tool, independently of the press stroke.

FIBRO Global Services offers a wide range of services above and beyond its comprehensive standard parts offering. FIBRO advises customers about the most efficient application of the products and helps with the selection of the matching gas springs, pusher or guide elements. Getting help finding the right coating for cutting tools is as equally a part of FIBRO’s service as the support with the construction of press, pull, and punching tools, prototype tools, as well as providing customised special solutions with controllable gas springs and sensor-encoder systems. Moreover, FIBRO offer Internet download of CAD data in virtually every common format.

In addition to this, FIBRO’s worldwide network of outside sales specialists and representatives ensures continuous communication with customers. This ensures direct contact to order handling, application technology and sales support.

The building blocks of FIBRO Global Service offer the customer a comprehensive package of additional services around the product.

The FIBRO catalogue is offered in 9 languages. And for the first time, FIBRO’s standard parts catalogue is now available as online catalogue browser. With it, FIBRO is keeping pace, responding to customer wishes while offering increased ease of use. The online catalogue browser makes browsing FIBRO’s comprehensive product portfolio simple and facilitates a fast, simple, and convenient access to the individual product groups. A new, useful linking of the table of contents and an additional search function facilitates finding products very quickly, which saves companies an enormous amount of time compared to ordering from the printed catalogue or the online shop. Special features include the CAD button, which links directly to the FIBRO PARTcommunity. In addition, the WebShop button facilitates immediate purchase of a product using the reliable FIBRO Standard Parts WebShop.

The FIBRO PARTcommunity gives customers access to CAD data from the FIBRO Standard Parts department in all common 2D and 3D file formats. Designers can integrate the data directly into their models or drawings which dispenses with the construction of standard parts. A convenient fulltext search makes searching for the desired data child’s play.

FIBRO eCommerce – EDI (Electronic Data Interchange): The electronic data interchange makes processes more efficient, reduces the handling times, lowers administrative costs, and reduces sources of error. The EDI integration is available worldwide to all FIBRO customers independently of hardware and software.

“Don’t search! Find! is the motto behind the FIBRO Standard PartsWebshop. This not only applies to the convenient ordering of the desired products from the nearly 40,000 articles available in the web shop. Important information about stock availability, the respective valid article price, the possibility for article transcoding as well as shipping dates can also be accessed here at any time.

Clocked tool construction: With flow production (flow principle), machines and systems are arranged according to the production flow or the technically necessary sequence of operations.

To realize this, an optimal and ergonomic provisioning of tools and materials is required for every individual workstation. It goes without saying that supplies of standard parts must also run like clockwork. FIBRO optimally fulfils the requirements for the clocked flow production and supplies precisely the order quantities at the desired point in time, with the desired quality, required labelling, correctly commissioned, and in the appropriate logistics container. This enables waiting times in tool construction to be prevented, cycle times to be minimized, material stocks to be reduced, and last but not least transparency to be created in the manufacturing process.

FIBRO logistics: The heart of FIBRO logistics is the 3600 m2 logistics centre in Hassmersheim. Virtually all catalogue articles are available in stock at any time. In addition, a quarter of the storage area is available for customer-specific parts.

To ensure that all parts are at the right place at the right time, the logistics centre is equipped with fully automatic high-bay racking facilities and state-of-the-art materials-handling technology. A path-optimized commissioning system supports the seamless flow of goods. A shipment sorting system with packaging station integration guarantees the highest supply readiness for standard and special parts. The stock placement and removal supported by barcode recognition and simultaneous stock posting provides for additional speed and security. This permits 2300 commissioning items, 500 parcel service shipments, 70 piece good shipments, and 5 airfreight shipments to be sent on their way and delivered to customers on time every day.

Technical support: If desired, FIBRO installers can be deployed on-site at short notice. For example, in order to professionally integrate gas spring combined systems, controllable gas springs and sensor-encoder systems into the manufacturing system. The required material does not need to be determined or ordered beforehand. FIBRO employees supply the required material with the right quantity. And customers will also be on the safe side when it comes to good connections. FIBRO manufactures hoses according to DIN 20066 by the best trained employees.

FIBRO repair service employees have outstanding training and are equipped with everything needed to increases quality and ensure the shortest cycle times. FIBRO perform repairs of pneumatic and electromechanical transporters, electric conveyor belts, gas springs and accessories, controllable gas springs and sensor-encoder systems to keep customer’s systems running smoothly so that they can manufacture without worry.

FIBRO construction support: FIBRO is a reliable partner who can help implement ideas quickly and precisely. Developing innovative, new FIBRO brand products from the ideas and feedback of customers and paving the way for product improvements and innovations is part of the daily challenges for FIBRO technicians and engineers. FIBRO can help with the design of guide elements or valves, the selection of springs or the definition of cutting gaps.

FIBRO contract manufacturing: FIBRO has invested around €1.3 million in a highly precise processing centre at the headquarters in Hassmersheim. The 46 ton vertical jig boring machine YASDA YBM 1530V is the largest machine of this series in Europe. It is suitable for high-precision processing of workpieces weighing up to six tons with a maximum size of 3000 mm x 1530 mm x 550 mm. This is only one of the machines at FIBRO uses to manufacture high-precision parts to customer order. In addition to a 5-axis processing centre from Hermle, a portal milling machine with a processing size of 16,000 mm x 3500 mm x 1500 mm and other processing centres are also available.

FIBRO training: The innovative ability and creativity of the employees is extremely important for the success of any company in the globally competitive world. And companies that are at the top internationally achieve this through new ideas, products and services, by shortening production and delivery times, by employing flexible logistics, powerful marketing, and by offering superior customer service. Highly qualified employees are an essential part of this success. People who are capable of mastering the challenges with modern methods and state-of-the-art technologies. The training of customer employees has always been of great significance at FIBRO. Thus, FIBRO offers in-house training for the gas spring, controllable gas spring, as well as sensor-encoder systems product ranges at no cost. Onsite training at the customer is calculated according to agreement.

The FIBRO website www.fibro.de offers even more support. In addition to the new clipping punch wizard, a wedge sliding punch, and a gas spring configurator are also available. These tools help shorten the search for the suitable standard parts using customer-specific parameters.
