Renewable energies are trend-setting. Not only since the German government has declared the energy turnaround. Worldwide, more and more power generating plants have been established, to use the renewable energies. So large solar thermal power plants are currently being built in the equatorial sun belt of the earth; in Spain, Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, India, Mexico and the U.S.

China plans to build the world’s largest solar power plant in Inner Mongolia by 2019. It shall supply with two gigawatts (GW) as much power as two nuclear power plants. The German-European-Arabic Desertec project is even greater, which is focused on huge solar thermal power plants in the largest deserts in the world.
