Jungheinrich added new module for its “ISM Online” fleet management system

Jungheinrich is expanding its established “ISM Online” fleet management system with a further, fifth module. “This service module is geared to clients with existing service contracts,” explains Tanja Gründer, Head of Fleet Management. “The new module provides our customers with an overview of upcoming as well as past and overdue maintenance operations and safety inspections. The transparency that these key data offer and the opportunity to proactively schedule preventative maintenance measures facilitates a reduction in operating costs.”

High Rate of Fleet Operation Efficiency and Safety

ISM Online is a holistic, intuitive fleet management system which customers can use to efficiently manage their intralogistics operations and enhance warehouse safety. The system provides for the analytical collection, observation and evaluation of fleet data, including operating data and hours as well as shock reports. These data are collected across various locations, internationally and independent of the various different manufacturers, then translated into simple and easy-to-read graphics and tables for evaluation purposes.

“With ISM Online we are giving our customers a tool which they can use to track and evaluate their vehicle fleet operating costs. These data give the customer valuable information on how to reduce their staffing and maintenance costs and enhance the availability and productivity of their fleet,” comments Tanja Gründer. Other benefits, she remarks, include the ability to “optimise fleet composition by evaluating previous operating and productivity analyses”. The customer can moreover substantially increase warehouse safety by employing shock sensors and making a visual and technical check before the start of operations. A vehicle access control system furthermore guarantees that only authorised employees can use the equipment.

Globally Secure Data Access

ISM Online is web-based fleet management system which does not require any additional software installation on a local computer. The customer can log in at any time from anywhere in the world, from any computer or mobile end device. The vehicles in the fleet are connected via wireless modules with the M2M gateways at the relevant production and warehouse facilities, which use the wireless mobile network to regularly communicate operating data to the ISM Online fleet management system.
