The new exclusive home furniture line by Philipp Selva

To inspire those with a pronounced aesthetic sense and those that are always after something unique – this demand is easily satisfied by all five collections of Philipp Selva Home. The line bears the name of the company president who, as its creative head, is successfully able to turn his feel for new trends and values into international design. Philipp Selva pursues utmost perfection of the forms. He has a true passion for Arabian horses, which he believes are the symbol of gracefulness, harmony and beauty embodied into a perfect creature. This passion of the owner has become part of the logo of the brand, it contains the profile of a horse’s head.

Downtown

This is an ensemble composed of individual pieces which is an invitation to the Transitional. Because it is so multifaceted, it turns the home into a melting pot of different cultures. Downtown is the name of this collection that was designed by Lorenzo Bellini, because just like the heart of a city, it combines different influences with an unmistakable flair. Furniture with its finger on the pulse of the times, which clearly shows how fluid the transition is from period furniture to modern furniture. The interplay of contrasts creates new harmonies. Whether it is a clear use of forms with gentle design implications of the Thirties and Forties or the different types of wood: everything is combined creatively. It is careful blending that guarantees uniqueness.

Heritage J.S.

Styles meet, are inspired by each other and blend to create new forms. Architect Lorenzo Bellini designed this collection, which bears the initials of company founder Joseph Selva, following the triggering idea of conferring a touch of modernity to classic forms. Whether it is columns, drawers in a wave form, changing directions of veneer, or unmistakable decorative fittings – it is the extraordinary details that make the furniture so special. Ten variations of finishes as well as the possibility of having polychrome models assure a vast possibility of tailoring to ones own taste.

Solitaire

Artistic appliqués ennoble the high-carat jewels of the Solitaire collection, designed by Axel Enthoven. Inlays with Strass Swarovski crystals, mother of pearl and amber or mahogany obsidian, incorporated into elegantly chromed settings, imbue the cherry wood veneered simple-design furniture with a noble timeless character. Of particular note are the “Lui” and “Lei” (his and hers) wardrobes, with back walls that are optionally available in either red or light blue. The drawer interiors are also designed with the matching fabric, and their interior organization also discloses a great sense of detail. The elements can be organised to suit the requirements of the customer including tie-racks, bag shelves and jewellery drawers.

Elegance without compromise: with its harmonious use of forms and special details, this furniture collection embodies a sense of nobility. Typical of the postmodern style are the elaborately worked finishes. The faces, which are bordered by a classic frieze around the frame, make use of extraordinary materials. Added to that are doors with a leather inset in a crocodile look, with sandblasted ornaments in the lacquered glass, or with silver-coloured or gold-coloured antiqued panels. And the cherry veneer, some of which runs diagonally, emphasizes the traditional craftsmanship, while push-pull fittings, sliding doors, or glass mosaics underscore the modern character.

Vendôme

Vendôme, by designer Lorenzo Bellini, is a very up-to-date collection, created in a stylish and contemporary design, where French flair and Italian charm are combined in a refined way. Its soul is classical, but forms and proportions are reinvented – combined with the use of contemporary materials and adapted to the needs of today with regard to design, comfort, and function. Clear, geometric shapes interplay with softly curved lines and smooth, cubic elements with decorative metal appliqués. Chromed decorative fittings on the doors and drawers provide noble emphasis and underscore the unmistakable character of Vendôme.
