Kawasaki Robotics always forces itself to new developments. One permanent trial is to build robots as compact as possible to save space and space saving ist cost saving. It was a questions of time until a smaller version of the technically approved and established YF003N Pick&Place robot was launched by performing similar data.

The YS002N, launched on Hannover Fair 2013, is a very compact Pick&Place robot with interesting technical data. The working range was halved compared to the YF003N at a maximum stroke of 200mm. Its payload is 2kg at a weight of 60kg. The maximum speed leads to a pick speed of up to 200 picks per minute with a high repeatability of +- 0,04mm.

Technical data:

Axis 4
Working Range max. Diameter 600 mm / Stroke 200 mm
Payload max. 2 kg
Repeatability +- 0,04 mm / +- 0,01°
Max. cycles per min. 200 picks at 0,5kg / 166 picks at 2kg

This robot provides new chances to build innovative and space saving robot application cells to reach new segments for Pick&Place applications. The YS002N is not only athome in the classical Pick&Place areas as food and packaging. It is also prepared due to high accuracy and speed. A competitive sulution in performance and price.
