Qioptiq has developed a new full-metal housing with lockable iris aperture for the renowned Rodagon lens series. The new version guarantees an even higher degree of stability and the clamping screws prevent accidental misadjustment of the iris aperture.

Rodagon lenses from Qioptiq are one of the few constants the machine vision industry can rely upon. Field-proven and widely appreciated for consistent quality, these lenses serve as the optical solution for a multitude of applications.

Although the Rodagon Series Lenses (Apo Rodagon D, Apo Rodagon N and Rogonar-S Series) feature carefuly engineered quality with click-stop iris, there has always been the request for a full metal construction with lockable iris aperture to meet more hostile environment requirements. Qioptiq now brings together the new all-metal housing with the trusted imaging performance that is sequentially introduced for many different focal lengths.

The following versions are available with the new metal housing:

  • Rodagon 35, 60, 80 and 105
  • Apo Rodagon 105
  • Rogonar-S 75

Additional focal lengths are added under development and can be expedited under customer request.

With the new housing, Qioptiq also achieved a smaller outer diameter of the lens that will help in space restricted installations. Mounting Interface of the new all metal housing is still the established M39 Leica thread. Compatibility to all existing accessories is therefore maintained.
