SensoPart’s FT 25-FLA offers extremely precise measuring accuracy

SensoPart’s FT 25-FLA is the first analogue laser distance sensor available in the easy-to-install, miniature housing of the proven F25 series. The sensor has a small, accurate light spot, a high level of repeatability and very fast response times, making it ideal for precision tasks such as the measurement of small parts, positioning and control tasks, and robotic applications.

The FT 25-RLA reliably and accurately detects the distance to objects of any colour and surface finish. Shiny or multi-coloured surfaces with an irregular contrast (e.g. multi-coloured packaging or barcodes) have virtually no affect on the sensor’s performance, and a high level of repeatability (< 0.25 mm) is guaranteed. The small, precision light spot (1.2 to 2 mm, depending on the distance) enables extremely reliable detection of small objects, even with parts in lateral or axial motion.

The distance sensor equipped with a red light laser (class 1) offers a measuring range of 20 to 100 mm. The distance value measured is emitted as a linear voltage value (1 to 10 V) via an integrated analogue output. The FT 25-RLA is also fitted with a digital switching output and the measuring ranges for both outputs can be set independently of one another. The analogue characteristic curve can also be inverted.

Thanks to its precise measuring accuracy and high repeatability with different object surfaces, the FT 25-RLA is the ideal sensor for a wide range of industrial applications, for example O ring thickness measurement, double layer detection on conveyed parts, measurements in cavities or stack height control of packaging. The sensor’s compact dimensions (34 x 20 x 12 mm), light weight (10g) and fast response time make it perfect for use in robotic applications.

Like all sensors from SensoPart’s miniature F 25 series, the FT 25-RLA has a robust, hermetically-sealed plastic housing (IP 69K and IP 67) and many user-friendly features. These include flexible dovetail mounting, teach-in via button or control cable and automatic NO-NC adjustment (automatic detection). SensoPart also offers two LED versions of the distance sensor (FT 25-RA), in addition to the laser version FT 25-RLA, so that a huge spectrum of measuring applications can be covered with the same functional and operating concept.
