Sony’s new cameras incorporate Adaptive IR Control that automatically adjusts the image to prevent over-exposure, while creating greater uniformity across the frame. The eight YM and YB Series IR dome and bullet cameras provide a variety of resolutions and fixed focal lengths suited to a range of applications. The seven CM and CB Series dome and bullet cameras add 3x vari-focal capabilities, delivering optimal fixed-angle viewing for indoor and outdoor use.

Yu Kitamura, Strategic Marketing Manager for Video Security, Sony Europe, said;
“Sony’s new range of analogue cameras caters for a diverse range of customer needs. Sony’s Adaptive IR Control technology provides exceptional visibility, irrespective of lighting conditions. This means that our cameras function equally well during the day, night and in other challenging low-light environments. Additionally, all come as one operational unit that is easy to install, operate and maintain.”

YM/YB Series
The new SSC-YM401R, SSC-YM411R, SSC-YB401R and SSC-YB411R cameras incorporate Sony’s new Dual Pass Day/Night (D/N) function, to offer high performance at an affordable price. The Dual Pass Day/Night goes beyond the capabilities of typical electrical D/N capabilities, by transmitting both visible and IR frequencies. In the daytime, it cuts the transmission of IR to achieve more accurate colour reproduction. At night, IR transmission is accentuated for increased sensitivity. All cameras provide 540 TVL resolution.

The SSC-YM501R, SSC-YM511R, SSC-YB501R and SSC-YB511R cameras provide outstanding image quality, delivering a full 650 TVL resolution function along with True D/N capability. True D/N, also known as removable IR cut, provides optimal performance both in daylight and at night. In daylight, the IR filter removes IR wavelengths for the truest colour reproduction. Then, at night, the IR cut filter is removed to allow the most IR light to reach the sensor.

Sony’s SSC-YB401R and SSC-YB411R box cameras provide 540 TVL resolution, with D/N functionality and IR LED effective range of five meters, making it perfect for security monitoring within compact spaces. While the SSC-YB501R and SSC YB511R box cameras deliver a resolution 650 TVL with an IR LED effective range of 10 meters.

CM series
The new CM Series vari-focal domes, the SSC-CM461R, SSC-CM561R and SSC-CM565R, are all true D/N designs. The SSC-CM461R provides 540 TVL resolution, while the SSC-CM561R and SSC-CM565R operate at either 650 TVL or full 700 TVL resolution. The difference between these is the latter’s rugged casing making it suitable for outdoor use.

CB Series
The SSC-CB565R and SSC-CB575R fixed-angle bullet cameras deliver 700 TVL resolution imaging with built-in IR capabilities and true D/N function. The SSC-CB565R has a 3x 2.8-10.5mm vari-focal lens while the SSC-CB575R has a 9-22mm vari-focal lens.

Sony’s SSC-CB561R bullet camera provides a variable resolution of 650TVL in normal mode and 700TVL when in sharp mode, while the SSC-CB461R provides a resolution of 540TVL. Both cameras have a IR LED effective range of 16 meters, making them perfect for monitoring larger spaces.
