Vision Research is excited to announce the next member of our digital cinema product line, the Phantom Flex4K.  The camera can capture up to 1,000 fps at 4K resolution and features exceptional image quality, new workflow options and a full-featured control interface.  Offering industry-leading flexibility, this new 4K camera system can be fine tuned for just about any environment in order to adapt to cinematographers’ changing needs.

The camera provides images with extremely low-noise and impressive dynamic range from its super-35mm 4K sensor. Other unique features include an all-new camera control interface, which eliminates the need for a computer on set, and the ability to choose between different recording formats.  For the first time on a Phantom camera, the Flex4K will be able to record either raw or compressed files to the new CineMag IV drive, available in sizes up to 2TB.

The Phantom Flex4K is first being previewed in April at the NAB show in Las Vegas, with features to roll out over the summer and plans to start shipments later this year.  Vision Research is currently taking pre-orders for the Flex4K to ensure customers a place in front of the line for when shipments begin.
