Wilkhahn has developed a completely new generation
of furniture for conference, consultation and sales applications in close
collaboration with the Fraunhofer-IPSI Research Institute: the ConAction range,
which enhances the quality of human communication and relations due to the
innovative integration of digital technologies – and saves on costs in the
process. This range allows digital information and data to be integrated
directly into personal discussion – without any paper, without any lag time and
without excluding anyone to be involved.
The quality of design is, however, as important as technical innovation:
simplicity, intuitive usage and homogenous integration into furnishing concepts
guarantee that work will be both efficient and enjoyable.

| InterWall |
Teams need team computers: until now working with a
personal computer has only been possible for individuals. With the InterWall
you can use your digital environment for teamwork, presentations and
conferences too.
Presentations and graphics, in any required file format, are projected onto
a holographic glass surface. The InterWall thus only functions a display
surface when it is in use and is otherwise completely transparent.
The mobile frame and the retractable projection arm allow flexible and fast
application in different situations: as an electronic whiteboard, a
flipchart, a pinboard, as a presentation and interaction surface.

| Dynamic conference workshop |
| A compact set of furniture and an empty conference
table surface that invites you to let your spirit fly. That is the starting
point for optimal realization of creative processes. The interplay of
Timetable, Confair, Sito and the InterWall resembles a ballet. The furniture
units develop their own choreography: from a lecture and seminar
environment, from project work and presentations to a closed-centre
conference configuration. The highlight is that interaction between the
display integrated into the Logon table and the mobile InterWall allows the
creative area of a business to become a window to the world too.

| InteracTable |
It all started with some questions: what should
furniture look like that allows teamwork on the computer? What does a
digital work environment look like with technology that does not make people
afraid of using it, but in fact encourages creativity?
We have found the answer in the form of the InteracTable: a high table with
a large-format, interactive screen integrated into the table surface which
serves as a shared working surface for project groups.
It brings all those involved in a project together in an informal atmosphere
and allows them to share the processing of complex information structures,
such as project plans and engineering drawings.
|
| ConsulTable |
Where the computer has become an integral part of
meeting and consultation processes today, the method of integration often
tends to be counter-productive: screens that are not visible from a certain
angle block human interaction instead of promoting it.
It is a completely different matter if you connect a ConsulTable to your
computer: due to the horizontal integration of the display, information lies
on the table in the literal sense of the word. All participants can view and
change documents on equal terms. Optionally, there is also the possibility
of rotating the contents of the display to the person facing you like a
piece of paper. The option of working with a wireless keyboard also allows
complex entry of data at a ConsulTable.

| Offer Profile |
Few companies have influenced Germany's office and
contract furniture sector as strongly as Wilkhahn. Over the course of many years
we have adopted our own pioneering standpoint and consistently pursued this.
Wilkhahn currently has a staff of over 600 throughout the world; sales outside
Germany account for over 50% of the total. Even small and medium-sized companies
from a high-wage country can succeed on the international market in spite of
globalization and increasing cost pressure. The main requirement is, however,
clear differentiation from competitors - by means of excellent product quality
and a distinct corporate culture.
Philosophy
See things in perspective. Be attentive. Keep an inquiring mind. We have never
believed in the idea of pure form: whoever designs furniture and interiors,
does, in fact, design his or her environment and human relations. Aesthetics
have always had an ethical dimension for us. For years we have consistently
pursued new paths in design; for years we have been practising fair, responsible
partnership. With nature, with our staff and with the technology which we
employ.
Architecture
An alarming number of people live and work in buildings to which they do not
relate at all. How can harmonious, user-friendly products be made in an
alienated, inhuman environment? A factory building can be more that merely a
machine covered in corrugated iron. We were able to retain two excellent
architects for our corporate architecture in the form of -Frei Otto and Thomas
Herzog. |
