HÅG’s seating solutions are the result of our belief that people are not designed to sit still, but naturally tend towards movement and variation. We call this "the HÅG movement." In modern life we spend much time sitting around and take inadequate regard of the body’s innate need for activity. So these days, we don’t just need chairs for support, but seating solutions that stimulate variation and movement as well.
In the HÅG seating concept the feet govern movement, and the chair encourages you to constantly vary your sitting position—without you being aware of it. This movement stimulates the circulation and you feel better both physically and mentally, meaning you can concentrate on the work you’re doing.

All development and production of our seating solutions is based on our four guiding principles: dynamic ergonomics, environment, visual design and quality.
HÅG develops products which contribute to reducing the total consumption of resources and the negative impact on health and the environment. This means, among other things, making “more with less” and selecting proper, quality materials. Products with a long service life, high quality and well conceived designs, with few and easily replaceable components are an important part of this work. So are recycled and recyclable materials, as well as sound return systems.
In 1996 HÅG became the first Scandinavian furniture manufacturer to be registered as an environmentally aware business under the EU EMAS regulations (Eco Management and Audit Scheme), and as such, we are committed to frequent reporting and checking of very stringent environmental requirements. We also operate environmental management systems in compliance with NS-ISO 14001.
