A Brief History Lesson on Aircraft Sales and Parts


Aircraft Sales and Parts was established in 1988 with hopes and dreams of resurrecting the Chinook aircraft that had dominated the light aircraft industry in the early 1980's. In late 1989, that dream came true when after nearly 2 years of research and development, we were able to introduce our new Chinook Plus 2, with the wider cabin, the stronger undercarriage, the modified wings and tail along with the new ceconite fabric. The Chinook Plus 2 is our leader in sales and continues to be a force in the light aircraft industry.

In 1993, we again moved forward in the light aircraft industry by providing parts and service for the Beaver RX550, RX28 and RX35 all aircraft manufactured by a company no longer operating. As over 2000 of the previous models existed, we were able to assist many builders with parts and service that were not available anywhere else. The demand to continue offering the Beaver aircraft as a kit was high and so in 1996 we introduced the new Beaver RX 550 Plus with new wings, new tail, better performance but still keeping the gentle and easy flight of the original Beaver.

Through the years our company has grown to have two facilities; one in Alberta and our main sales office in Vernon, BC. We have also been able to acquire the existing GSC Systems propeller manufacturing company in 1991. In 1999 we designed the Summit Powered Parachute which expanded our product line even further.

Aside from the products we provide, customer service is as important to us and so no matter where you are in the world, Aircraft Sales and Parts will be there to provide you with both. We feel strongly that each and every customer be treated with individual attention from the time the kit or parts are ordered, to the logistics, to the arrival of the goods to any technical assistance they may require.
