The highpoint of precision watchmaking from UNION is represented by the "Universal Watch" of 1901, the most complicated watch ever manufactured in Glashütte. It had seven additional dials with thirteen hands.

Besides the hour, minute and second display it had, amongst other things, an hour, quarter-hour and minute repeater, a perpetual calendar with moon phase and leap year display and a double chronograph with second display. With a movement comprising 816 parts, it is one of the really "great complications" of watchmaking history.
