When Tullio Bolletta opened his first laboratory in Milano, he was only 22 years old and he was teaching watch making in a special school for the dumb people. Four years later he moved in the prestigious "Via Monte Napoleone" one of the world's famous fashion streets, where he took over the laboratory of an old watch making master.
The company named "La Regale" dates back to 1934.
Since then things have changed fast: in 1938 Tullio Bolletta specialized in "Felsing", the most famous watch-making company in Berlin, and joined the retail business starting to import watches from Switzerland. In 1939 Tullio Bolletta invented Ti-Bi, a solution for cleaning watches and micromechanical parts wich is still produced and sold.

In 1946 "La Regale" became a limited company and Lorenz trademark was registered in 1951 when the first Lorenz mechanical movement with 21 rubis was created in Switzerland.
During Italy's boom the company widened its horizons and reputation and in 1960 the "Static" table clock, designed by architect Richard Sapper, won the "Compasso D'Oro" award. "The simplicity and the austerity of the design, the material of the glamour of the object", have given the Static this prestigious prize of industrial design.
Laurens and Bino trademarks were launched at the beginning of the 60's to cover respectevely the young targets and the wall and table clocks field.
In 1976 Lorenz signed the exclusive distributorship agreement with Casio Computer of Japan, for the distibution of Casio watches in the italian territory.
In 1986 Lorenz, in collaboration with the designers of the Menphis Group, created Neos brand, which is specialized in the design field.
In 1989 Tullio Bolletta and his son Federico passed away; Federico's wife, his son Pietro and the daughter Anna took the reins of the company with the support of all their employees. Nowadays Lorenz company is one of the most important competitors of the watch market.
