The product development at RANDERS has always been in accordance wit the human needs of form and function, based on simple aesthetics for the body and the senses.
RANDERS is a Danish company, which produces ands markets furniture for all purposes and all kids of rooms, where people meet for inspirational conviviality. RANDERS speciality is furnishing arrangements for offices, conference rooms, restaurants, canteens, schools, and auditoriums etc., where the purpose of use makes special demands on design, function, durability and comfort.
Add to this numerous individual combination possibilities, which lie in the choice of material and colours. In the Furniture Series, flexibility works concurrently with a pure and tight idiom, which adds personality and style to modern as well as classic surroundings.
RANDERS was founded as early as 1940.
In 1956 the primary production consisted of steel furniture for schools, canteens and offices.
In 1982 the company inaugurated a co-operation with the architects Thore Lassen & Soren Nielsen, MDD concerning the development of a new series of school furniture.
In 1991 RANDERS inaugurated a co-operation with architect and professor Jörgen Kastholm concerning conference and auditorium chairs.
Focusing on ergonomics, function and design a Series of furniture was developed in collaboration with the architects Hans Thyge Raunkjaer and Karen Kjaergaard, comprising a wide rangwe of deskas, touc-down desks, pedestrals and storage programme. Furthemore the Series comprises canteen tables and chairs.
