A history of success

OCME, founded in 1954 with only five people in staff, quickly started building its reputation as a leader of industrial development: within its first two decades of business, OCME had already made a mark in the global packaging equipment market with its innovative technology aimed at several key industries (beverage, food, petro-chemicals, tissue, detergent and personal care).

In 1966, in fact, OCME became one of the first companies in Europe to introduce a palletiser. Three years later, the company emerged as first in another industry introducing a "wrap-around" packaging system for cans and bottles.

Major companies from around the world had come to recognise OCME as a serious, technologically-advanced manufacturer of high quality packaging systems.

Rather than rest on its laurels, OCME launched a substantial investment and expansion program in the early ’80s, and by the end of the decade, the company had opened three new state-of-the-art production facilities in Parma, Italy to help meet the growing demand for its products. During the same period, OCME opened a network of regional sales and service offices in key markets throughout the world in an effort to bring its products and expertise "closer to the customer."

As it approaches its half-century anniversary, OCME has clearly established itself as a global leader in the packaging machinery arena. The company, certified ISO 9001 in 1994, has installed more than 10.000 machines world-wide; operates four branch offices in Europe, North America and Asia; and has developed an international network of dedicated sales and service agents spread all over the world.

In 2006, OCME's total sales reached 79 Million Euro, and the outlook for the future appears even brighter.
