Drive Technologies Motion Control Systems (MC)

The MC Business Unit offers automation systems and services for machine tools and for production machines for textiles, plastics, wood, glass, ceramic, metal forming, packing and printing. MC also automates cranes.
Sinumerik controls machine tools for a wide range of machining technologies, Simotion integrates motion control, logic and technological functions for production machines. The Simodrive, Masterdrives and Sinamics drive converter systems as well as many high-performance servomotors for almost any application ensure high dynamic performance and accuracy.
The modular MCIS software system integrates machines into production-related information systems. Innovative services – such as Mechatronic Support – support machinery construction OEMs and the "Virtual Production" simulation - that is close to reality - helps to shorten machining times of workpieces and to improve their quality. This is supplemented by "ePS Network" - an online service, which among other things, permits web-based fault management and preventive maintenance.
