The Molokai Strait expedition yacht is designed for serious voyaging in complete comfort. Inspired by the fishing trawlers of Romsdahl, Norway, this design is characterized by a relatively clear foredeck, a superstructure set amidships to aft and a round "cruiser" stern. The bulbous bow reduces resistance and absorbs pitching energy for a smoother, more comfortable ride.
The Molokai Strait will take you where you want to go in safety with a steel hull, commercial-grade hardware including bullet proof glass in portholes, handrails throughout and a chest-high bulwark. Our sophisticated engineering and rugged construction assures a yacht of superior strength and safety. Hardware is superb with massive bollards, heavy duty winches and davits. Robust bulkheads provide independent watertight compartments and the wrap-around Portuguese walk and forward slanting windows create a superb piloting environment by keeping the windows rain-free.
