Geringhoff is a medium-sized family business steeped in tradition and now in its fifth generation. The success story that began 130 years ago is inseparable from its homeland, the Münsterland region, and its people. If it was not for the way our employees identify with the company and our close ties with our customers, we would not be what we are today. Some of our customer relationships are now in their second and third generation. There is no getting closer to customers, their desires and challenges.

The company founded by Carl Geringhoff in 1880 initially supplied the farming community in the area around Ahlen with harvesting machinery and traction engines. In 1890, the company founder began developing his own threshing machines. Geringhoff’s specialisation in maize harvesting technology took place in 1956 with the building of maize shellers. In 1958, the world’s farmers were able to marvel at our first corn cob pickers. And in 1962 – more than 45 years ago – Geringhoff launched the first maize header for combine harvesters. The forerunner of today’s header systems, with straw crushers mounted below the row unit, came onto the market in 1965. Over the decades, Geringhoff’s product range has developed into today’s diverse portfolio of maize header systems, systems that are more than capable of meeting any farmer’s harvesting requirements.
