Carpanelli Motori Elettrici S.p.A. was established in 1947 by Zeno Carpanelli. Since then, under his skilled guide, all the phases required for the design and manufacture of asynchronous motors were integrated within the company. The true stronghold that has enabled the expansion of the company in time is that of the vocation to design and manufacture special electric motors, keeping up to date with technological innovation. 60% of the company production consists of special or customised motors for italian and foreign customers who require special applications.
In fact, the technological innovation may be found starting from the engineering department where CAD stations are situated that are provided with programs for the three-dimensional solid modelling with regard to engineering design whereas for the electromagnetic aspect mathematical CAD programs are provided for the design and simulation of the equivalent electric circuit of the motor; then there is the metrology laboratory, that is provided with equipment that is capable of pointing out the dynamic performance of the motor and its pickup, thermal equilibrium and short circuiting characteristics, using instruments calibrated by SIT centres. In fact, two motor test benches are installed that are capable of covering the power section that ranges from 30W up to 25 kW. Finally, as of 1995, a quality control department with regard to the products supplied by external suppliers has been established in order to ensure the quality of the final product. All this has enabled, in 50 years of matured experience in the specific field, Carpanelli Motori Elettrici S.p.a. to become a specialised company in the design and machining of also totally non-standard products in order to meet the specific requirements of the customer. In July 1995, the Company achieved the UNI EN ISO 9001 certification granted by the CSQ/IMQ in Milan.
