Company Profile

Larson Manufacturing Company, a small manufacturing operation began making switch mats for automatic doors and gates in Chicago in the 1957. The business continued to grow and by 1961 larger facilities were needed. LMC moved to new facilities in the burgeoning city of Brainerd Minnesota.
Some time prior to 1968, Larson Manufacturing Company changed its name to Larco. Acrometal Products purchased a majority interest in Larco in the Fall of 1969 and it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Acrometal, a Minneapolis based holding company operating manufacturing facilities around the US in 1972.
As the business continued to grow, new facilities were needed. In the spring of 1987 mat manufacturing operations were moved to its present location. Mat manufacturing remains the primary business, servicing several industries with mats of all sizes and descriptions including 40 sixes and styles that remained standard. The mat manufacturing facilities were expanded again in the fall of 1997 doubling the available.
It is true Larco has it's roots in the manufacturing of automatic door mats, but our industrial mats have benefited from the refinements in process and improvements in materials. Larco has incorporated the latest processes and material into every mat it makes. What was true in 1957 remains true today. Quality products and Value in the customer relationships.
