Sophis Systems NV, with headquarters in Wevelgem, Belgium and subsidiaries in Charlotte, USA and Gallarate, Italy is a software company founded by Mr. Karl Noonan in 1978.
We write Computer Assisted Design (CAD) and Computer Assisted Manufacturing (CAM) software programmes for the textile industry, both for weaving mills (dobby, jacquard, loom networking, production planning) and printing mills (rotary print, flat-screen print).
For the last 5 years, Sophis has expanded its territory into not just weaving and printing but also transfer paper, vinyl floor coverings, laminates, and wallpaper sectors.
Our most recent and very successful development is called `Direct Digital Printing', a technology that allows you to directly print dyes on any kind of cloth, even flock and velvet as well as on transfer paper.
All software sold by the Sophis Group is exclusive and application specific. Our team of software engineers - all of them specialists in textiles, physics, mathematics or colour reproduction - is constantly striving for both improvement of existing programmes as well as development of new programmes and applications.
