A and M, two letters which are the initials of the name Anna Maria, 40 sq.m. of workshop under her home and a husband who shared the adventure with her: on January 1st, 1975 A.M. furriers was founded in Empoli, a small town in the province of Florence.
Annamaria Leporatti had been a furrier for a long time. She loved her job and, together with her husband, Mauro Biancalani, was going to be a success. Quite an undertaking but the little company continued to march forward: the new premises, 2400 sq.m. in all, to house the results of almost twenty years of hard work.
The years was 1992 and two years after the jump forward, with an even greater effort, the company conquered its first foreign markets: Germany, USA, Japan and Korea. The aim has always been to provide successful products, maintaining the quality which has always distinguished their production: highly flexible production, direct pelt purchases at the international auctions, a competitive quality/price ratio. And, of course, special attention is also dedicated to making the company and its collection known: every year a catalogue of photos tell the story of A.M.'s beautiful creations better than words. Naturalness is the distinguishing feature of the new LINEA A.M. collection.
