In 1984, Jean Pierre Prade, founded CATANA, a boat yard specialized in the manufacture of cruising catamarans. At that time, CATANA was unique. Catamarans were only engaged in races, and nobody could predict the development that they would know as cruising boats. Jean-Pierre PRADE managed to gather around him skilled technicians, a great team well known for her talent and precision. All of them are sea lovers, specialised in their activities, they managed to gather their experiences and are constantly looking forward to innovate.
In 1984, CATANA was a Limited Liability Company with a capital of 20 000 FF and 144 m2 of working area. Today CATANA is a Limited Company with a capital of FF 26 432 000, a working area of 7 000 m2 and a forecasted turn over of 140 million French Francs in 2000.
