IDG is the short form for Industrie-Dichtungs-Gesellschaft (company for industrial sealings). The company was founded in 1971. Until 1974, its headquarters was located in Stuttgart. Mr. Manfred von Dungen is the majority shareholder and general manager.
The company’s business activities focus on the design, development and distribution of seals and construction elements.
For expansion purposes, the company moved its premises to Wendlingen am Neckar in 1974.
In early 1984, they moved to a new building in Kirchheim unter Teck. This provided them with the opportunity to continue to increase the number of employees. In 1994, the building was enlarged.
Today, IDG Dichtungstechnik GmbH’s scope of activitiy comprises the design, development and production of seals on the basis of fluopolymers, particularly polytetrafluorethylene, and its derived mixtures. Moreover, there are interesting developments on the sector of elastomers. Special mixtures are are used both in food applications (FDA, BGA, LMBG) and in environments where perfect expertise is required to fulfill the sealing tasks in low temperature applications.
