Company Profile

In 1954, having graduated from the Royal Shipping School of Leros, Nikitas Agelakis constructed and sold his first wooden boat in his place of birth, Crete, Greece.
In the years to follow, he worked with great names in the boat building field, such as Psaros and Glaros and constructed wooden boats of all sizes. Most of the boats he constructed were speedboats. In 1964, he constructed big speedboats made of marine plywood, covered by fiberglass. Thus, he set the base for the construction of polyester boats.
In 1967, he constructed a number of traditional boats exclusively produced by fiberglass.
In 1988, his son, Michalis Agelakis, having studied design, joined the company and constructed with his father a number of speed boats that managed to gain the same popularity as the old traditional ones.
In 1994, the Boatyard NIKITA was transferred to its present setting in a private property in Koropi on mainland Greece. The Boatyard NIKITA has taken part in many exhibitions in Greece and abroad, since 1978.
The Boatyard NIKITA is presently working with passion and consistency in the field of small polyester boats all around Greece and abroad.
