Scorpion Ribs are designed and constructed according to the international standards ISO for boats less than 25 m, according to the requirements of Lloyds. The construction is according to ISO/CD 6185-3.
Scorpion Ribs are certified with a certificate of approval from the Hellenic Register of Shipping, which states the boats are built according to the essential requirements of the European Guide 94/25. The design is classified as category B, for offshore voyages in wind up to force 8 and wave height up to 4 m.
Scorpion Ribs are designed with full support of CAD and are being fabricated at Planatech's Shipyard, which has high quality systems for production. All raw materials used are approved by DVN Lloyds.
Scorpion Ribs are available in Greece, Italy and all Eastern countries from Ribco, which is responsible for the whole project. The prototype design of the scorpion's hull comes from South Coast Ribs (England), which gave Ribco the right to produce the Scorpion Ribs in Greece, together with the license to use the name Scorpion. The design of the deck and all the other parts of the boat were made in Greece.
